Only there's something different. The confidence and smugness is gone. It's been replaced with terror and confusion.]

What?, oh my god this...this isn't Kitty's flat?

[ There’s a lot of crashing and banging going on...like somebody's getting off a bed in a blind panic and knocking over  ornaments and books on shelves in the process.]

Oh no no no, somebody help me please! I've been kidnapped.

Please whoever you are don't hurt me. I'm just a simple kid's storyteller, I...I can't be of any use or value to you.

It's a trick by the castle without a doubt -- Moriarty isn't boring enough to try and torture him by playing the same trick twice -- and somehow that makes it worse, that this person bumbling around the journal actually thinks themselves genuine.

It resurrects all the anger without any of the intellectual appreciation.

He lights a cigarette and fights the urge to ash it in the middle of the journal's pages.]

Yup. John is. And he is practically livid.

It's a caste trick obviously, even John knows that Moriarty wouldn't use the same trick twice. But that does little to make him feel better, in fact it only makes it worse.

He fights every urge he has to grab his gun and shoot something (preferably him).

The castle has a poor sense of humor and John isn't laughing. ]
