[Outside, about a hundred feet from the duck pond, there now stands a small area covered in pillars of rock standing very close together. They range from three to ten feet high with the tops wide enough to hold a single, upright person.
And speaking of upright people-- Korra's there in the middle of it, twirling and jumping from rock to rock, her legs and arms a blur of motion. The only thing they leave in their wake is a bright flash of fire that quickly fizzles out due to lack of energy as she moves quickly from one form to another. Quick flashes of light of varying intensities is really the only way to describe the sight.
Given another few minutes of this, she ends with a final, albeit large, blast of fire from her high kick and jumps off the pilar on to the ground below. The duck pond is her goal, and once she's there, Korra plops down at the egde. With a flick of her wrist, a stream of water comes out and hangs above her, drizzling its contents over her head and on to the journal she's brought with her.]
Man, that was great! It's good to finally get a workout in without having to watch where I step. Those weird machines in the gym are too complicated. Whatever happened to exercise without the bells and whistles?
[She heaves a loud, happy sigh as she water flow ends.]
But as nice as that was, there's something lacking, probably a partner. Katara's great for waterbending with, but fire and earth are still solo work. Nothing wrong, but... it helps to have someone, I guess.
Anywa-- oh! Hey, there's an idea! Anyone with some weird power want a practice partner? I'm pretty well versed in some things, mostly physical fighting. C'mon, it'll be fun!
((ooc: open journal or in person, backdated to the 10th!))

Might not be your cup of tea. I don't have any special powers.

She probably shouldn't have encouraged him.]
I've got the time.
*^*
Bending or no bending? Or only one kind? Take your pick.
no subject
What kind of bending?
no subject
Bending is controlling the elements. I've got water, fire and earth so far.

So far, huh?

I could settle for the rest.

[And she won't be, since she immediately charges in with a kick aimed to his side. Oh hey, her foot's shooting flames now. Have fun, Spike.]

He hops back and pats his smoking sleeve.]
You weren't kidding.

[She uses the force of her leg meeting his arm to launch herself backwards, landing in a crouch. As she hits the ground, she punches it, allowing for a chunk of earth beneath Spike's feet to shoot up in the air in an attempt to knock him off balance.]

[She manages to, in part because he's moderately fascinated by her to the point of distraction. He finds his balance again quickly enough, but holds off on fighting back just yet.
There's a glint in his eye when he straightens back up and anticipates her next attack.]
That's two.

[Still smirking, he rushes forward, jumping at the last second to aim a flying kick right at her chest -- you know, showing off basically.]
