[Korra's sitting at a kitchen table, dead eyeing a bowl of noodles in front of her.]

Let's talk food. More specifically, new food. I want some recommendations for it. Special dishes from your worlds, or rare delicacies, whatever works. Just something to spice things up, literally or not.

[She pauses, glancing over at Naga where she's laying. Her friend is staring sadly at her bowl of raw fish.]

Something for a polar bear dog, too.

[Korra and Naga are occupying the area of the lobby in front of the fire place. There's totally a fire place. The latter is curled up on the carpet in front of it with the former leaning against her, journal in hand. She flips a few pages, and a sigh is caught by the book.]

Some people have been here for a while, over a year. Physical aging doesn't happen, but we grow in other ways, right? Whether we want to or not, it happens. What about obstacles you had back home? Can those be conquered here, too? I don't mean finally cooking a dish perfectly or anything like that. More like... doing something you've been unable to when it's something you're supposed to be able to accomplish.

It's a weird question, but I'm curious.

What is it with this place and turning me into a four legged thing? That makes twice now, and it's getting old. Never again, Castle, you hear me? This was the last time.

[Her tone's very decisive, as if that will make a difference with a sentient building. Ah, well, she can dream. Regardless, she immediately changes topics. Maybe something else is better than complaining about recent castle garbage. Maybe.]

So, huge amount of snow outside for a while now, that really begs the question: why has no one built a giant fort on the front lawn? Maybe a whole snow village would be possible. I wonder...

[Korra trails off in thought before posing an offer.]

Anyway, I'm gonna go take Naga out for a run. We've got room for another passenger if anyone wants.

[Anyone currently in the lobby is now privy to the front doors opening with a bang as Korra and Naga stroll in, looking completely puzzled at the decorations that greet them. The pair will appear even more puzzled at the journal on the floor in front of them, though an expression of realization dawns on Korra's face as she picks it up and opens it.]

Hey, there it is! It's been ages since I saw this thing. I guess a few weeks of mountain solitude does that, huh?

[Although the Avatar's grin can't be seen, her laugh is recorded as she continues.]

So, for all the new guys here, hi, I'm Korra, it's good to meet you. For everyone else, ... hi again!

It'd be really awesome if someone could tell me what I've missed and why the lobby looks like a forest exploded in it.

[She pauses, before adding quickly.] Any face to face discussions will take place in the kitchen where there's food.

[With that, she and Naga make their way into said room for some grub.]

[Today's question is short and sweet.]

I'll pass on the dressing up, but the candy I can do. What's recommended? Chewy, crunchy, salty, sweet, I'll try anything.

[Korra's chilling outside the castle on the front steps, her journal open next to her. She makes a small humming noise before sitting up and speaking.]

Okay, the pony thing was weird, and it's really nice to have fingers again, but I have to ask: how many of you guys are still stuck that way? Did you do something to tick off the mystical stripy one or what?

Don't get me wrong, it's not that I dislike ponies, I just can't really see myself as one longterm. Or for more than a week. Maybe it'd be the same if they were turned into humans. Something for someone to think about on a rainy day.

[.....]

Also, someone tell me what this Halloween thing's about.

We've got a library for the brainy people, and that's used often, right? People read and research and blah blah blah. There're books for entertainment, if that floats your boat.

Active people have the gym, but that's mostly used for training isn't it? What about people who wanna have fun; are there any sports? Paradisa really needs something like that. It should be for residents without powers, too. The more people, the more fun!

We could always brainstorm and make a game up. I mean, some worlds have to have something everyone can use for this. A way to fly or turn invisible, I don't know. Pitching together to come up with a thing could be worth the effort, huh?

[Korra huffs a little before dictating, flopping back on to a couch in the lobby.]

Okay, it's been over a month, and I'm thinking I should continue working on airbending, even if I don't have a formal master to teach me here. Doing the same footwork drills over and over only gets me so far.

[She crosses her legs and lets her head fall back so she's staring up at the ceiling.] So... anyone have any airbending experience [a pause] or air magic or powers or whatever you call it? Stupid world differences.

[She sighs, proceeding to filter.]

[Outside, about a hundred feet from the duck pond, there now stands a small area covered in pillars of rock standing very close together. They range from three to ten feet high with the tops wide enough to hold a single, upright person.

And speaking of upright people-- Korra's there in the middle of it, twirling and jumping from rock to rock, her legs and arms a blur of motion. The only thing they leave in their wake is a bright flash of fire that quickly fizzles out due to lack of energy as she moves quickly from one form to another. Quick flashes of light of varying intensities is really the only way to describe the sight.

Given another few minutes of this, she ends with a final, albeit large, blast of fire from her high kick and jumps off the pilar on to the ground below. The duck pond is her goal, and once she's there, Korra plops down at the egde. With a flick of her wrist, a stream of water comes out and hangs above her, drizzling its contents over her head and on to the journal she's brought with her.]

Man, that was great! It's good to finally get a workout in without having to watch where I step. Those weird machines in the gym are too complicated. Whatever happened to exercise without the bells and whistles?

[She heaves a loud, happy sigh as she water flow ends.]

But as nice as that was, there's something lacking, probably a partner. Katara's great for waterbending with, but fire and earth are still solo work. Nothing wrong, but... it helps to have someone, I guess.

Anywa-- oh! Hey, there's an idea! Anyone with some weird power want a practice partner? I'm pretty well versed in some things, mostly physical fighting. C'mon, it'll be fun!

[That done, Korra's quickly making her way downstairs to head outside to meet Naga and go for a run. As she descends the staircases, she opens the journal and dictates, though it sounds like her mouth is full. A classy lady, right here, folks.]

S'not so bad here so far. [Munch munch, footsteps!.] Some people are weird, but others are pretty friendly! Guess there's all kinds, huh? Even talking animals! Go figure.

[Chew chew swallow!] What I want to know is what people do to keep busy. Entertainment's pretty scarce. There aren't even any pro-bending matches or anything resembling a sport! Someone needs to get on that.

[Korra's outside now, greeting Naga with a pat on the back before jumping into the saddle. Closing the journal, they take off in the direction of the woods. What will they find?]

[Why hello there, Paradisa! What a lovely, spacious, clean lobby you have! It's so shiny and dirt free, the ghosts must have worked on it for hours. Or magic, whichever. It's almost like it's asking to be messed up... Well what do you know-- here's Korra and Naga coming to do just that.

The main doors to the lobby suddenly fly open, revealing a teenager and a polar bear dog. The girl's yawning loudly as she rides into the room. She keeps her eyes closed and leans back in the sadel, talking to someone who obviously isn't there anymore.]

I agree with Bolin. We should definitely find some food soon, I'm famished!

[She falls silent now, waiting for a response from someone, but the only thing she receives is Naga stopping and whining quietly. This causes Korra to open her eyes and look around, suddenly much more alert than she was before.]

Ohhhhkay. This really isn't below Republic City. Pretty sure Gommu would have mentioned this... [Glancing down to her friend, she pats Naga on the side.] What do you think, girl?

[It's a louder whine this time. She glances back to see the trail of sewer muck they've brought into the lobby.]

I hope whoever owns this place won't be too mad, but being near sewers is a risk I guess.

[She jumps off Naga now, giving the creature space as she shakes herself off, mucky water flying everywhere. Some drops even sprinkle the pages of the open journal nearby. Hopefully no one was too close to them.]
