[Katniss has been trying to hide Prim. That much is a fact. Because Paradisa is not a friendly place. Because any number of horrible things can happen in the blink of an eye. Because it's already taken Prim away from her once, and no matter what she remembers or doesn't remember, she'll be damned if she's going to let Paradisa take her away again.

(Excessive? Maybe. But in Katniss's mind, it's completely justified.)

She only just happens to see this over the journal. And when she does? Whatever she may be in the middle of doing at the moment is unceremoniously dropped (... she may or may not have gone out beyond the kitchen).

By the time she arrives back at the room, she's completely out of breath, having taken the whole journey at the fastest possible flat-out run she could.]

[ When Katniss enters Prim turns around from where she's sat, alert, afraid and now relieved. Seeing her Prim rises, running to her and wrapping her arms tightly around her, hugging her tight. The relief that Prim now feels should be obvious in her grip, but she's no less afraid - not of the castle ]

Katniss. I was worried.

[Maybe it isn't as natural as it might have been once, when a magic castle didn't leave her with a hole where nothing but certainty should've been. Maybe there's a half second's worth of hesitation, a half second longer than might have existed before. But her arms wrap around Prim in return, tightly, pulling her in closer.

In this moment, she's only worried about one thing. And that's delivering reassurance.]

I'm here, Prim. I'm here. [... And I'm not leaving you]
