Surely. It is about time we put it to some training use.

And you should know that blades go dull with time unless enchanted - you will need to take it to a blacksmith periodically to have it sharpened.

Do not leave blood on it, regularly polishing it to avoid rusting, how to inspect it for other types of damage.

It depends on how often you use it.

Probably. Do not put to many charms Draco. The point is to work with the sword, not enchant it to do all the work for you.

HOw will manually cleaning it help?

You learn the feel of it. The weight of it. You might not think so, but the more you handle the weapon, the more you come to understand it - yes, even through cleaning.

But don't you do that through practice anyway?

You do, but the sword, if you plan to be good, needs to be a part of you, not just a tool.

Yes, exactly. You should not have to think about the weight, about how you hold it, about what angle you have it at. It must come naturally and quickly if you plan to survive a sword fight.
