In 1488, Rodrigo Borgia came into the possession of an "Apple" that he claims to be a "Piece of Eden"... I know he will attempt to use it for some evil end. He claims it is important for the coming of a Prophet, to use used to open a "Vault", and it has something to do with a "Floating City".

Do you know what any of that means?

Mr. Auditore

[thwarting]

[There is silence for a short while as Aziraphale contemplates this, racking his memories for any references.]

Sounds like piffle to me, dear boy. We'd know if he had something like that, someone from Up or Down There would have noticed.

So it is impossible for it to be an Apple of Eden? He is a man of God. Surely he would know?

[Even Ezio doubts that, though, because fuck that guy.]

Mr. Auditore

I would say it was highly unlikely.

Besides, the apples from Eden would have rotted centuries before Borgia was born.

Aziraphale

[assassino]

[A long hum of deep thought.]

I did not think something divine could rot... and this "Apple" he has looks to be made of metal.

Mr. Auditore

[thwarting]

Well now, that's just ridiculous, none of the apples in Eden were metal... however could Eve have eaten one if they were?

Aziraphale

[assassino]

I do not know. With all due respect, the Bible is very confusing... I wondered if something had been lost in translation.

[Damn. He'd thought he was on to something.]

What could it be, then? Even being near it tempts one to take it.

I wouldn't blame that on the apple, there's probably a demon nearby somewhere.

But then again, he supposes, if Serpents and devils can be real, so can demons.

I should think so, an object of itself can hardly be tempting. Not to the level you're suggesting.
