[ This has been an announcement Lois hasn’t exactly been quick to want to broadcast, but to avoid an onslaught of inevitable questions now that so many people knew her and Clark had been playing parent so long... ]
So, Smallville and I have moved to the city, like we’ve been talking about. It’s a big place, plenty of room for anyone else who shows up from our world who might wind up without a place to go... Not that we’re limiting it to just... our worlders. That came out wrong.
Sorry. Sort of off my game. [ Deep breath now ] Chris is gone. Our Chris. Well not... our Chris but... Lois and Clark’s. The other... future us. [ Maybe she’ll let Clark have a whirl at this. ]
No, you’re right. Our Chris is gone. Regardless of timeline or universe or biological parents, he’s our kid.
But regardless... we have a place in the city, now. Anyone who needs a place to stay while in town is welcome. Just let us know, and we’ll roll out the welcome mat.
[ Lois collects herself now that the bad news is out there, and pipes back up. ]
Not literally, since, y’know, we don’t actually have a welcome mat. Yet. Which leads to my next point: housewarming party for anyone who wants to drop by this weekend. There will be pie.

Hank's glad for the lack of gag reflex.]

Lois and Clark
We are not close and I do hope you do not regard this as forward. But I know what it is to be separated from a beloved child. If there is any comfort I may offer you, please do not hesitate to ask.
Galadriel;
The good news is that we can look forward to seeing him again, some day. Future kid and all. [ assuming they get out of here, of course, but there's no doubt in lois' mind still. ]
Lois and Clark forever
[She just...worries about everyone, okay?]

Not that I'm the "eating and drinking" sort, but still, sounds like a good time. Should I bring anything?
[What he's really saying is "You have my awkward, unspoken support and sympathy." Even if he does feel a little odd turning up at gatherings where food is present.]

We're not opposed to housewarming presents. [ /shameless ]

[This is why you're his favorite, Lois. You're one of the few who gets him.]

I'll definitely be there. Especially if there's blueberry pie.

Well I guess that means I don't have to babysit anymore. [ he's trying to joke because :( ]

... But I liked him too. He was a good kid.

Need someone to cater?
[it's mostly teasing, because she can probably make her own pie, but it's better than talking about missing people. Sam has lost enough over the years that he knows sometimes you just want to talk about something else.]
