The Carnival! (DAY ONE)

[Around 11:00am, the rides and vendors and stands suddenly appear, bustling with sounds and movements as the carnival spins to life. Throughout the day, all kinds of foods, rides, and games are available, but around the carnival signs are posted about a raffle that evening, with the items listed. Wait, did that belong to you? Well now it's up for raffle! Come buy tickets from any of the ghosts with said tickets slung across their shoulders like a sash.]

(ooc: There will be one section for the actual raffle - an ooc post will be up in a couple moments to claim the items- but other than that, go wild!)

[ Fair enough. Although weird it remains. She shrugs. ]

[save_the_souls]

[another thoughtful pause before he decides and asks the man]

Ah- can I get a corn dog please?

[persequor]

[ That's not made of real dog, is it? ]

[save_the_souls]

[Allen notices that look, oh right he remembers having the same one with hot dogs]

Ah- sorry! It's not actually dog...it's just called that.

[persequor]

Why?

[save_the_souls]

I'm not sure...[a pause] Maybe they...wanted it to sound unique than corn sausage?

[persequor]

That's stupid. How are you supposed to know what you're eating if it has another thing's name?

[save_the_souls]

[He just shrugs] By asking the person who made it?

[But whatever, the vendor hands him a corn dog with ketchup and mustard which he holds out for Arya] Here we are.

[persequor]

The cooks don't leave the kitchen. [ Obviously.

She takes it, looking at it strangely as if it might reveal the secrets to the universe if she only stares it down long enough. Refusing to be called craven for not eating something, she takes a bite.

It's not terrible, her face shows. But the texture and the different tastes take some getting used to. ]

[he watches, a bit of amusement crossing his face at her expressions before he moves to order his own thing of funnel cake]

[persequor]

[ She eats half of it and offers the rest to Nymeria. The direwolf sniffs it and proceeds to turn her nose up at it. ]

Spoiled wolf.

[save_the_souls]

[he chuckles a little]

What does he usually eat?

[persequor]

She. She'll eat what she finds. Rabbit, deer. [ Men. ] Not a lot of game out here.

[save_the_souls]

Oh! Sorry!

I see...I suppose there isn't in the forest...not in this place.

[persequor]

I tried feeding her the meat in the…freezer? I think that's it's name. But she doesn't like it much.

[ Nevertheless, Arya has taken to practically force-feeding the thawed steaks to Nymeria. She needs a lot of food to maintain her strength. ]

[save_the_souls]

Hmm...

Maye you could try asking the butcher in the city? At least for the leftover parts he doesn't use. That stuff would be fresher than things in the freezer.

[persequor]

[ Arya is sure she can persuade the butcher to part with choicer bits as well. At least Nymeria can. ]

Where can I find him?

[save_the_souls]

In the market area, [here have a street name it's on!].

[persequor]

[ She smiles. ]

Thank you! If it works, Nymeria will be grateful too.

[save_the_souls]

It's no trouble! I'd hate to see Nymeria unhappy.

[persequor]

[ Nobody wants to see an unhappy direwolf. Especially considering Nymeria is still a puppy. ]

What's that?

[ Moving down the list of priorities, she points to the yellow winged ball with him. Are those teeth? ]

He glances over his shoulder to where Timcanpy...well is stealing food]

Timcanpy!

[save_the_souls]

[he sighs]

That's Timcanpy, he's my golem.

[persequor]

[ Arya giggles. Whistling at Tim, she holds out the rest of her corndog. ]

Want a bite?

[save_the_souls]

[he perks up at being offered food and flutters over!]

Careful, he might try to eat it all- stick and all.
