The Carnival! (DAY ONE)

[Around 11:00am, the rides and vendors and stands suddenly appear, bustling with sounds and movements as the carnival spins to life. Throughout the day, all kinds of foods, rides, and games are available, but around the carnival signs are posted about a raffle that evening, with the items listed. Wait, did that belong to you? Well now it's up for raffle! Come buy tickets from any of the ghosts with said tickets slung across their shoulders like a sash.]

(ooc: There will be one section for the actual raffle - an ooc post will be up in a couple moments to claim the items- but other than that, go wild!)

[Late in the evening, one of the ghosts steps up onto the stage that's simply there one moment. He clears his voice and announces loudly,] Ladies and gentlemen! Our raffle is about to begin, please listen for your ticket numbers!

[Reno was just wandering around bored, and the raffle catches his eye. He has no interest in it what so ever, but a certain Buster sword catches his eye]

Wait. Isn't that-?

[Oh wow. This might be awkward.]

[Tsuna had seen the carnival from his room in the castle, and, eager for an excuse to walk around as much as possible to get his ankle back into shape (and to ease his boredom), he quickly set off for it.

And now, he's standing at the border of the festival, looking at everything in awe.]

Aaaa, this is amazing! I had no idea there was a festival coming up.

[ It didn't take too long before he would find a puffball wandering from behind him, wanting to see what all the fuss was about.

But when he saw the carnival, he immediately thought of the amusement park that came to the castle back home, his eyes widening. ]

Poyoooooo... [ He didn't even notice Tsuna beside him, taking a tentative step forward. He wondered what sorts of rides there were! ]

[Spike is wandering around the carnival looking like...well a kid in a carnival]

Oh man, this is so cool! I don't know what I want to try first!!!

[he meanwhile following behind, looking not as excited though he's still curious]

Just don't make yourself sick, lil bro.

[Jane came to investigate the sudden arrival of all this carnival noise. She's walking around, taking everything in with wide eyes.]

Holy moley...did the castle make this?

[shrugs_a_lot]

[Oh brother, oh brother, oh brother... Cloud's walking around the carnival, but rather than be investigating the carnival itself, he seems very hurried about something, distracted enough to bump into Jane.

Ow...]

[Allen can be found at the food area of the carnival. Growing up in the circus, he's pretty much seen it all when it comes to carnivals- but he's never about to turn down food. So of course he's looking through all the insane choices they have, trying to figure out what to eat]

Hmm...what should I have first...?

Are they really edible?

[ Child and wolf have identical "what the fuck is all this and will it kill me" looks. ]

[Hesam isn't in the mood for fun since Sam left the Castle but he's dying for a distraction and this is less dangerous than a bar]

Hopefully nobody will go jumping off a ferris wheel this time...

[he couldn't help but overhear]

Th--This time?

[York is there in armor but with his helmet off for once, alternating between some bacon ice cream, a chocolate covered corndog, and a deep fried Twinkie and smiling like it's Christmas and his birthday all rolled up in one.

It's times like this when he misses Grif, really.]

This is officially the best thing ever.

What's that? [ Arya points to the corndog. She has no idea what any of them are, but the corn dog looks closest to actual food. ]

[ Arya has settled down to feed Nymeria pieces of the food she has assembled. None of it was paid for, but Arya used her Water Dancer training to lift them without arousing suspicion. Turns out it's only the vendors in King's Landing who keep a suspicious and watchful eye over their wares. That and the massive she-wolf is an excellent distraction for most and intimidates the others into not complaining. ]

[ The carnival reminds her of markets, while the sights and smells are not the same it the sounds that remind her. The sounds of life that stretch as far as she can hear. It makes her think of her youth and of Vaes Dothrak, the Western and Eastern markets that she would traverse when the khalasar settled there.

She blinks, dragging herself out of her thoughts and memories, at the sight of the direwolf. Her mouth spreading into a small smile. Where there is one there is likely to be another. A few strides and a head tilt later, the Mother of Dragons stands before the girl and her wolf. ]

That is quite a collection you have there.

[ Lucy meanwhile, is ecstatic at the sight of the carnival. It was like the parade or the festivals back home, with all colorfulness and food and joy and and ... and THINGS! She should have waited for Natsu but frankly, she wouldn't have been a bit surprised if he was already here somewhere. ]

[Frenetic Cloud is frenetic, looking around (but the raffle) for certain huge sword that was stolen from him. He seems at edge and quite cranky for someone who should be tasting every single food possible and playing at all the games...

Sorry if he bumps into you.]

[Reno was walking along with a beer and some food monstrosity that could probably give cancer and heart attacks to the weak. He doesn't seem to mind the carnival. It's like a less annoying verison of the Gold Saucer]

[Exceeeept then he sees Cloud and remembers the Buster Sword. Whoops he must have found out, time to try to evade the guy's path!]

[Henry is very resolutely losing at the Ring Toss. His last ring bounces off the rim of the bottle, and he waves his hands at the vendor.]

Come on, one more game! Please? I know I can get it this time.

[ Hey, look. It's your best friend in the whole wide world. ]

What's the purpose of this?

[You can find Galadriel looking at some of those food vendors with a mix of curiosity and disgust. That smell...]

Do people truly eat such things? [She really shouldn't be surprised anymore.]

[he is also there, with probably a matching look as well]

[and here's a scowling pony, looking a bit more bare than usual. Her tiara, necklace/collar, and horseshoes have gone missing and she's pretty darn sure she didn't just misplace them. But turning her room inside out has yielded naught and neither has visiting her usual haunts.

So she's here in an attempt to take her mind off things - but if one were to judge from that scowl, it's not quite working.]

I--Is everything okay?

[Yes, Carol is at the Carnival too and like everyone else she is wondering how it got here. She wasn't exactly a Carnival person but there's no harm in enjoying it while it's here is there? Rides aren't exactly here thing either but she's going to stand over here with corndog in one hand.

She's standing close to the Ferris Wheel contemplating whether she should give it a try or not.]

[And there's one redneck wandering around, bucket of popcorn in his hand, and he pauses, spotting Carol.]

[The sun has gone down, but the carnival is still alight and cacophonous, and Phoenix is enjoying every moment of it as he pokes around the ridiculous games, arms laden with fried everything. He's having a hard time hanging onto the crappy "A for effort" prizes he "won" at some of the games, and the big, plush, pink turtle, which he still isn't sure how he managed to snag in the first place, but he's trying anyway.

He's having a great time, since--dressed down in casual clothes and having no free hands to check his pockets any time recently--he hasn't noticed his attorney's badge has gone missing (and is, in fact, one of the raffle items). Although he's alone save for the giant turtle plush, he's merrily spending all his money on stupid carnival junk.]

H-hey mate! Mate!

[Have Wheatley, surprisingly dressed down as well. Not even a lab coat. He's quite the distance away from Phoenix, waving with his usual goofy grin on his face, over-exaggerated in every way possible. In his waving hand was some blue cotton candy, and in his other.... GLaDOS's hand, which he was clutching childishly. He whispered something to her 'Do you mind if he tags along?' and pulled her along to meet his best friend here.]

[Meanwhile, just outside the WIMPY-ASS ROLLER COASTER, Aradia has discovered something.

That something is a sign.

That sign says "YOU MUST BE THIS TALL TO RIDE."

It should be noted that Aradia, currently hovering in front of this sign, is still about four inches tall.]

Okay now it's just being a nookstain.

[Wheatley (The 6'7 piece of shit he is...) casually waltzes in, not even seeing her, walking right into her flight path. Say hello to a massive chest colliding with you as he walks along, humming.]

(Johanna is wondering around in a yellow sun dress, a few colorful clips in her hair that she won. She's eating some cotton candy right now and looking the furthest away from a deadly victor as you can get.)

[There may be a young pirate at the shooting game, surrounded by a pile of junk food almost as big as she is. Her aim is actually pretty decent, and she has a very satisfied look on her face as she stops to stuff her face in between rounds.

Seriously, Marika has a bit of fried everything and is making a spectacle of herself with each reload, making battle cries and winking and posing as she plays. This is someone you want to bother. Or stay away from, nobody would blame you.]

[and here's an unusually unadorned royal pony walking past. She's sulking a bit, but even that gigantic pile of junk food is enough to grab her attention - though it's Marika's antics that she eventually ends up staring at.]

[Alleyne, annoyed at the fact everything here is fried beyond recognition, is taking her frustrations out on her inability to find anything edible on the strength game. She's doing her best to make sure she looks like she's not having fun, as per usual. This is the only thing of worth around here as far as she's concerned.]

Bah, humans and their need to live in excess. Reminds me of when the tournament came around last at the capital.

[Clearly, someone needs to show her how to enjoy herself and learn to love cholesterol.]

[Zelos isn't enjoying himself too much, but seeing Alleyne? Immediately perks him up. So he'll go over with a big grin on his face]

[Martel has been wandering the carnival for a while now, and she's acquired quite a few stuffed animals from the different games. Right now she's standing outside the strong man game, watching people try to ring the bell. She could go do it, and win, she knows it, but that probably wouldn't be fair, now would it?]

...Hm, but what would I want on the prize table?

The stuffed chocobo, of course.

[Could there be any other answer to that question? It'd been rhetorical of course, but Zack is Zack and that's all there is to it. He's also stepping up next to Martel and eying that armful of assorted figures.]

It would make that zoo of yours complete.

[Mabel is carrying a giant stuffed beaver under one arm and a mountain of cotton candy on a stick with the other hand. Her eyes are as large as saucers as she takes in everything around her. How can a castle be so bad when it brings a carnival right to her doorstep?]

I have no idea what to try next!

[Meanwhile Gold's holding like five things of chocolate covered deep fried cheesecake]

[This is definitely Steve's scene. He's moving around all over the place trying to figure out where to go next with a pleased smile on his face.

You know you want to stop him to see if he'll win you something.]

[What if Mabel is eyeing a giant stuffed beaver nearby? Would he win it for her? Look, Steve, it's a cute little girl! You can't say no, right?]

[Elektra doesn't have any interest in this. Later in the evening when she finishes up her work at Candy Bonsai, she's just going to casually walk on through.

Clearly you guys should explain the magic of Carnivals to her.]

[He comes up beside her, resting his hand to the small of her back.]

Do I get to win you a stuffed animal? [Maybe an inflatable sword.]

[ If you're lucky, you'll be able to catch a glimpse of Morgana as she floats through the carnival. Only pausing to inspect random things out of pure morbid curiosity.

This is all a bit too cheery for her tastes, but something nostalgic in her commands her feet today. ]

[ Nymeria is the one who spots her. She stops to observe Morgana. Arya is not immediately obvious, but if Nymeria is here, Arya must be as well. ]

[Elizabeth is... genuinely enjoying herself, despite the itch in her scalp, she's... well she looks better then she did when she arrived. Dressed in the far too flashy way of hers that is so very every day for her.

But still, life, laughter, after so much death, it was so very welcome to see joy on people's face. It earnestly delighted her, even if she wasn't expressive with it, but there was a smile often enough as she walked around, side eying what appeared to be spun sugar in a ridiculous pink colour...]

[ Lucrezia sidles up to her side quietly, pausing for a moment at the striking resemblance, but onto the more important matter: ]
