The Carnival! (DAY ONE)
[Around 11:00am, the rides and vendors and stands suddenly appear, bustling with sounds and movements as the carnival spins to life. Throughout the day, all kinds of foods, rides, and games are available, but around the carnival signs are posted about a raffle that evening, with the items listed. Wait, did that belong to you? Well now it's up for raffle! Come buy tickets from any of the ghosts with said tickets slung across their shoulders like a sash.]
(ooc: There will be one section for the actual raffle - an ooc post will be up in a couple moments to claim the items- but other than that, go wild!)

Finally, she pick her jaw up off the floor.]
You're not him, are you? [He would have known her right off the bat. She runs her hand through her hair.] Gods, it's amazing.

But he looked like me?
[It's happened with him before, after all. First there was Trevor and then apparently Galadriel's husband. He must just have one of those faces.]

[York offers her something questionable on a stick as an invitation to sit down.]
Can I ask what he's like?

He was a good man. [In the end. Better than she was, anyway.] My second in command.
no subject
Good. I'd hate to hear someone with my handsome face was a complete asshole. [He winks at her. Yeah, yeah, he's not winning any beauty pageants here.]
no subject
[Gosh, York. Don't do that, it's way too weird. There's a brief pause before she smiles back (and for what it's worth, she does think it's a handsome face).] Yeah, well. He had things figured out before I did.

[Oho, face twin was smart too, huh? York likes the sound of that.] But you figured them out eventually, right?
no subject
Yeah, I did. It just took me a little longer.

Glad to hear it. [Oh yeah, he should probably introduce himself.] I'm Freelancer York, by the way. 26th century Earth.
no subject
[And then offers a hand.] Xena, [Insert year here because canon is stupid] Earth. Greece, specifically.

I'm guessing in your time it wasn't much like that summer camp we had?

[He pauses a little, because this can be a sensitive subject.]
Some place you'd like to go back to, or about the same level of crazy as here?

[And he nods. York knows how that can be.]

[York nods at the carnival around them.]
And hey, times like this? Even more vacation than usual.

Pretty sure there's a beer garden around here somewhere, if you need that extra bit of authenticity.

You know, I think we could do with having this thing every year. Seems pretty nice so far.
