The Carnival! (DAY ONE)

[Around 11:00am, the rides and vendors and stands suddenly appear, bustling with sounds and movements as the carnival spins to life. Throughout the day, all kinds of foods, rides, and games are available, but around the carnival signs are posted about a raffle that evening, with the items listed. Wait, did that belong to you? Well now it's up for raffle! Come buy tickets from any of the ghosts with said tickets slung across their shoulders like a sash.]

(ooc: There will be one section for the actual raffle - an ooc post will be up in a couple moments to claim the items- but other than that, go wild!)

Is there any reason for it? [Honest curiosity. Women in her world have fought a lont time for the honor.]

What is your world like?

They say hands which take life will have more difficulty preserving it and Elven women are especially esteemed for their skill as healers. The truth of this, I will let you decide for yourself. But given that at least two great healers have seen battle, I have my doubts.

[She chuckles a little] And how am I to answer a question such as that? It is not so advanced, in terms of technology, as most here. But it has other charms, if I may say so myself.

[Kat nods as she listens closely, eyes bright as she ingests the information. She gives a little shrug to her general question.]

You could always start with what's most prevalent about it and go from there. [She will listen to everything. Gladly.]

What seems to startle most is the number of races present. Elves, Dwarves, [the slightest pause and a little smile] Hobbits, Men. Many here seem to unfamiliar with all save the last.

[Kat blinks.] Hobbits. They're tiny, aren't they? I think I met one a while ago ...

They are. One has here some time ago- Master Peregrin Took. He might have introduced himself as Pippin.

[Kat smiles easily.] Yes, I did meet him.

[And the smile is returned with equal ease.] He is a most extraordinary individual.
