The Carnival! (DAY ONE)

[Around 11:00am, the rides and vendors and stands suddenly appear, bustling with sounds and movements as the carnival spins to life. Throughout the day, all kinds of foods, rides, and games are available, but around the carnival signs are posted about a raffle that evening, with the items listed. Wait, did that belong to you? Well now it's up for raffle! Come buy tickets from any of the ghosts with said tickets slung across their shoulders like a sash.]

(ooc: There will be one section for the actual raffle - an ooc post will be up in a couple moments to claim the items- but other than that, go wild!)

[She tosses the stick of her eaten corndog into the trash too as she makes her way towards the Ferris Wheel. There's a bit of a queue but not too much. It doesn't take long for it to be their turn to get on and they sit down side by side.]

Com on Daryl, cheer up. You might enjoy it.

[squirrelhunter]

It ain't th'most excitin' ride here.

[Yes, he's determined to be a grumpy bastard through all this.]

[losteveryone]

No, it's not but you'll have plenty of time to have a go on those after.

[She's going to ignore it and enjoy herself anyway, Daryl! Once everyone's on the wheel it starts to move around slowly and a smile appears on her lips]

[squirrelhunter]

[And he's just going to bundle himself sullenly into a corner, occasionally glancing at Carol as they go around.]

[losteveryone]

[Well, if you're not going to have fun Daryl, Carol is going to have enough for both of them. The smile hasn't left her face and she looks happier than he's probably ever seen her. The view from the top is breathtaking]

Isn't the view amazing?

[squirrelhunter]

[Considering he keeps side-eyeing her as they go around, yes, she does look happy.]

S'alright. [His reply is still a bit sullen.]

[losteveryone]

It's beautiful.

[She glances over at him every now and again just to see if there's the slightest hint of a smile....no. She does give up on that after a few moments, just focusing on the view.

He just looks so tense and yes..sullen is definitely the right word for it.] Come on, Daryl. Just...relax.

[squirrelhunter]

I am relaxed.

[He really isn't. One look at him says that.]

[losteveryone]

You don't look very relaxed to me.

[All tensed up and sitting as far away from her as is possible? Yeah, definitely not relaxed. There's a small tease from Carol] You're all tensed up. I'm not going to bite or anything.

[squirrelhunter]

I ain't tense.

[He's getting defensive. Very defensive.]

I just ain't as impressed as you.

[losteveryone]

[Well, what did she expect really. She's just going to nod and turn her head away from him, looking back out to the view. A few more turns around and it will be over, she wants to make the most of it.]

Sure you're not. Well, don't worry it'll be over soon.

[squirrelhunter]

I ain't worried.

[You're repeating yourself, Daryl. He's just going to keep to the corner he's picked out for himself.

Okay, yes, the view was spectacular, but Daryl has a dislike for the castle.]

[losteveryone]

[She just sighs quietly under her breath and enjoys the rest of the ride until it comes to a stop. Once they reach to ground Carol and Daryl get out together.

See Daryl, no one is staring you had nothing to worry about. Oh wait, you weren't worried...]

Thanks for that, Daryl. For coming on with me, I mean.

[squirrelhunter]

[And Daryl shifts slightly, not really looking at Carol.]

Ya welcome, I guess.

[losteveryone]

[Wow, did he say 'you're welcome'? She'll remember that]

Well, now you're free to go on the much more exciting rides.

[squirrelhunter]

Right.

[He turns to leave, before pausing.]

I'll see ya later.

[losteveryone]

[She simply nods after him as he turns to leave]

Yeah, I'll see you later, Daryl.

[Because you're not getting rid of her any time soon.]
