[Morning routines had gone reasonably well, considering there was a first time for... everything. But now it was time to get down to business, and it was important. Kitt picked up the journal, eyeing it dubiously before flipping it open and beginning to speak]
I suppose this thing is working. [He clears his throat] So. Yes. I have a question. Perhaps several.
How, exactly, do you humans cope with sleeping? What a horrifying experience. Absolutely awful. The loss of environmental awareness, the exposure and vulnerability of being offlined - and you do this on a daily basis! Voluntarily, sometimes! And I'm led to believe that some of you might actually enjoy such a thing? I can scarcely believe it. It may be necessary, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.
[A pause, and the sound of pacing]
While I have your attention, can anyone tell me how to get out of here and get back home? Any suggestions would be helpful. This experiment has gone on for long enough, and I'm quite ready to return to my normal form now.

...
as for the sleep thing have you thought about trying sopor slime
no subject
... Excuse me?
no subject
but yeah sopor slime
its a troll thing we sleep immersed in it to keep the dreams away
i dont know if it works the same way with humans but maybe its worth a shot?
no subject
A troll thing? Does that mean you're a troll, then? [He shifts uncomfortably, but he's still with her so far; surprisingly, he's heard stranger things now]
How does this... immersion work, exactly? Do you sleep in the bathtub? Does it smell?
And why don't you wish to have dreams?
no subject
and no we dont sleep in the ablution trap that would be silly!
we have recuperacoons that are full of the stuff
it smells a little but not too bad
and dreams are bad because theyre really gory and nasty
you may have lucked out by not having one but youll know if you see them
[even though she's been human a couple times, someone here still can't quite wrap her head around the concept of a "good dream" kdsflja;ddf]

My apologies. I have no idea how these things work. What is a... recuperacoon?
[He recoiled a bit, shaking his head] I have a tendency to agree. I have no desire to experience any dreams. [He sympathizes, not wanting to take the chance at all]
no subject
a recuperacoon is ... what it sounds like?
its like a cocoon sort of but it has a hole so you can get in and out
i can show you a miniature one if you want
no subject
I think I was being thrown by the 'raccoon' part. Recuperation cocoon makes much more sense. [He smiled, relieved to find some things still made sense]
I'd very much like to see it, yes.

where is a good place to meet you :0
no subject
Room 601. I'll see you soon? I've only just gotten here so I don't know where a lot of things are yet.

[and she is not kidding about that! thanks to time powers, she is there in approximately ten seconds. granted, she is currently on a loss that makes her four inches tall, but not much she can do about that part. she takes a hammer out of her sylladex and knocks on the door with it (a little louder than she means to).
so yeah tiny alien fairy and a hammer that appears to be flying on its own power haha...]

Hello.
phooooo going to work is fun /flops
Hello! My name's Aradia. Sorry about the dent, it'll fix itself. [Referring to the slight hammer mark in the door, which is... probably already fixing itself dsklaf;j. She also extends a hand to him, though it's really only big enough to shake his finger.]
WORKBLEAH. That's my response and I'm sticking to it!
[He extends his index finger towards her carefully, taking care not to hurt her, shaking her hand]
Kitt. It's very nice to meet you, Aradia. What a lovely name. It sort of rolls off the tongue, doesn't it? Well, now that I have a tongue. Ah. [Have an embarrassed look, Aradia]
no subject
Haha, thanks. Kitt's not a bad name either! So - I'm curious. What were you before you became a human? [I mean EVIDENTLY SOMETHING THAT DOESN'T SLEEP OR LICK THINGS, but besides that.]
no subject
A car.
no subject
[Not unpleasantly surprised, but it certainly wasn't what she expected.]

I'm afraid I'm out of a job too. Tell me, how does one fall into the job of hunting witches? And how do you know who the witches are?
no subject
[Should she be saying all this? Ah, it probably doesn't matter in a place like this.]
Finding witches is the easy part. They eat humans, so ya just gotta look for places where lots of people've died or gone missing.
no subject
Oh. I can't say I've ever met an alien to make a contract with. The 'eating humans' part sounds rather awful.

(ooc: Sorry for the hideous delay, I've been fighting off a cold.)

[OOC - no problems! As you can see, I'm kinda slow myself. :)]
