test chamber 09 ; [ backdated to around 1 am today ; dictated ]
[ 1.25 oz. chocolate cake mix. 1 can prepared coconut pecan frosting. 3/4 cup vegetable oil. 4 large eggs...
GLaDOS found herself slowly waking up from her sleep at the sound of that familiar voice, slowly coming to clarity in her head.
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips. 3/4 cup butter or margarine. 1 2/3 cups granulated sugar...
She had a feeling it wasn't morning yet- so why was she up? What was that she was hearing? It sounded so familiar... eventually, as soon as the former AI tried to think about it, it came to her.
That was a core that was attached to her, so long ago. Wasn't it?
GRRRrrrggrghrhgrgrRRRGrrrGRRRRRgrrghhhhh--
GLaDOS flinched- yes, these were the cores that were attached to her- back when that mute lunatic had killed her the first time. But how...-
2 cups all-purpose flour... fish-shaped crackers... fish-shaped candies... fish-shaped solid waste... fish-shaped dirt.
.........................
ggrghrhgrgrRRRGrrrG!!
Her head slowly started pounding, the voices loud and overwhelming her thoughts, and she found herself gritting her teeth, putting her hands over her ears... oh no, why was this happening. Her human body wasn't handling the voices as well as her mechanical counterpart had, not even noticing how the journal was opened on the bedside table when she screamed. ]
SHUT UP!!
(( ooc: so this is GLaDOS on a loss! She's going to be hearing the cores from Portal 1 in her head for awhile, barring Curiosity since she's already at the castle. 8')a Feel free to bother her- she'll be a bit off. ))

Open over the journal too;; Action.
[He had been fast asleep, childishly spooning her as if she were a teddy bear when she had suddenly started screaming. Pay no mind to the miniature heart attack as he was torn from his peaceful REM sleep; Wheatley's eyes flicker open at the sound of her voice, shouting a little as well. He tensed and spasmed, pulling away from her, before realizing immediately after that there might be something wrong. There was no transition from his sleeping and awake state, the shock being incredibly sobering.
He slides up to a seated position, placing his hand on her shoulder. It was undeniable he was worried (and slightly terrified), giving her a small nudge.]
L-love? Love are you alright?
Open to the journal ;; Action!
...fish-shaped effelbenzine... pull and peel licorice... fish-shaped volatile organic compounds... sediment-shaped sediment...
She had trouble hearing him. ]
What? I... I can't hear you, speak louder. [ she said, a bit loudly herself, trying to hear herself over the snarls and cake recipe. ]
no subject
[He strains the alright to speak louder. What on earth is wrong with her? Crawling out of her bed, he hopped on one foot for a moment, rushing to kneel at her bedside where she was facing. He was awake, but his body was still drowsy, stumbling over to her. He'd plop onto the floor, leaning halfway on. He'd try to brush his messy hair back, but right now wasn't the time.]
You're not looking too good love! Are you...are you sick? Should I get you something?!
no subject
I... They won't be quiet. [ she replies, reaching a hand out to smooth his hair back for him.
GRRRrrrggrghrhgrgrRRRGrrrGRRRRRgrrghhhhh--
And she twitched, her body curling up a little more. ]
They're giving me a headache... Those stupid spheres...
no subject
[He repeated her, narrowing her eyes a little in confusion. Though the smoothing of his hair was always welcomed. He sat down on the bed, placing a hand to rub her shoulder, in an attempt at comfort...]
Oh! Umm... Did you have a bad dream? Because... I uh, just reminding you that there are no spheres here b-but me. And.... and well, the little bug. She's not here though. So it's just me and you love...
[He leans forward a little, trying to make contact with her eyes.]
no subject
No... they're- the ones from before. Before you were activated.
[ candy-coated peanut butter pieces shaped like fish... 1 cup lemon juice... ]
They're talking to me. They won't stop.
no subject
[He responds, rather dumbly. Well, how on earth can he help with that? Well... he's never been corrupted before, in this body. He finds himself still absentmindedly rubbing her shoulder. Though, maybe she knows what to do...]
M-maybe they'll go away... if-if you ignore them...
[He smiles a little, standing up and shaking his legs out. ]
I... I'll make you some tea...! J-just sit tight!
no subject
I can't exactly ignore them- it's as if they're whispering in my ear.
[ Any solution she might have come up with was soon interrupted by the insane ramblings.
... alpha resins... saturated polyester resin fiber-glass surface resins... volatile malted milk impoundments...
......................... ]
Tea... [ She sounds distracted for a moment, before shaking her head a little, cringing. Okay, not the best idea to help a headache. ] Alright.
no subject
[Wheatley hurried off, sure to not distract himself as he prepared her some tea-- this time a green tea, for overall relaxation. He was sure to call back to her; a way to let her know that he was still there for her... somehow, even if he clearly had no idea what he was doing...]
Uhhhh... just sit- just sit tight, alright love?
[Boy he was tired... he had a feeling he wouldn't be sleeping in a while, so he made enough for himself too...]
H-has this happened before?!
Maybe you accidentally... turned them on while you were sleeping. That's it. Hit your head on the headboard. That's a possibility...
no subject
No... this hasn't happened before. I don't get why they would be back- that mute lunatic had burnt them all. Threw them into the incinerator, the first time she killed me...
[ ggrghrhgrgrRRRGrrrG!!
It's getting difficult to concentrate, so she finds herself looking around the room once, before turning her gaze back to him, head throbbing. ]
It doesn't make sense.

I'm not in the mood for this. [ she replied, a bit louder than her usual voice- not even angry, just because she literally is having trouble hearing.
GRRRrrrggrghrhgrgrRRRGrrrGRRRRRgrrghhhhh--
She clutches at her head. ]

These journals tend to like opening at the worst times.
no subject
Too true. It's best not to give it the opportunity.

I'll invest in a paperweight, then.
dicted
G-GLaDOS? Are you okay?
Dictated forever!
I... it's... nothing. [ she let out, louder than her usual tone. She doesn't want to tell her about the voices- she'll think she's insane. ]

Can't you speak louder?
no subject
Is this better!?
no subject
I hope I didn't wake you. [ she said, truly a little concerned, and her headache was truly wearing her usual demeanor down. ]
no subject
No, not at all! I was just kind of hanging out! What were you doing!?
no subject
Trying to sleep. But I doubt I'll get any, so... relaxing, I guess! [ she replied as well, over the chattering voices. ] Do you know how to cure headaches, by any chance?
