Scroll Thirty Eight

[As much as Spike whines about people coming into the library and messing up his SYSTEM, now so many are out of the castle and NOT doing that, he's bored. It's taken him half the time to organise the sections it usually does, so he's been left with a hole in his schedule.

Such a thing would never happen in Ponyville. Twilight's schedules (and by proxy: his) were filled to to point where to be able to do some tasks required breaking the laws of time and space. Holes in the schedule were rarer than a tap-dancing oyster in a kangaroo suit.

And so, Spike has taken to siding down the banisters of the big winding staircase to see how far he can fly before inevitably meeting the floor with a THUD. After a few goes, even THIS gets boring. Still flopped on the floor, he reaches for his journal and flips it open]

Does anypony want to do something? Anything?

[He was even starting to miss Arya. That couldn't be a good thing]

[And in a few moments, Gold will be skating in from the elevator]

It's okay, I wasn't waiting that long at all. Shall we do this thing?

You betcha! [and he opens the door, enjoying the blast of cold air]

[Spike doesn't seem to mind the cold all that much, happily bounding into the nearest snowbank]

To the top of the hill over there. I think there might be some boards waiting for us.

Great let's go! [TIME TO PARTY WOO]

[billiardsplz]

Race you up there!

[huffythedragon]

You're SO on!

[Running off. Well...as fast as his stumpy legs can take him anyway]

[He laughs, easily getting a lead on Spike, but that's unfair, so he "slips"]

Oof!

[huffythedragon]

[He'll not even notice that was intentional. To the point where the little dragon stops to help him up]

You okay buddy?

[billiardsplz]

[Whelp, since Spike stopped...

Gold's arms shoot out and pull him down in the snow with him]

Just peachy!

[huffythedragon]

[That is the yelp of BETRAYAL]

Hey no fair that's cheating!

[He says while laughing. Yep really making a case of the victim here, Spike]

We never established any rules!

[huffythedragon]

Well, rules are kind of boring... [AND THEN OFF HE RUNS. On all fours this time take that sucker]

Hey! [It takes him a moment to scramble on his feet and start running]

[huffythedragon]

[He'll just laugh and continue his race up the hill]

[billiardsplz]

[You know what? Forget playing fair, he's going to tackle him when he reaches the top]

[huffythedragon]

[And then the dragon gets a face full of snow. He'll just lie in his fail for a moment before scrambling back to his feet]

[billiardsplz]

[Gold flops over and snorts, laughing]

[huffythedragon]

[A chuckle] Call it a draw?

[billiardsplz]

No way man, I totally won.

[huffythedragon]

I call that debatable.

[billiardsplz]

Uh huh, so how about we let this snowboarding race decide everything?

That sounds like an awesome idea.
