[The news of Fluttershy being gone was something he was still processing even now that he was back to being a human instead of a cat. She... couldn't really be gone right? And when he thinks back on how their last interactions went he feels an incredibly rare knot in his stomach.
Fluttershy who always looked after him.
Fluttershy who thought of him as a "hero".
Fluttershy who was his "friend".
Fluttershy who he always took for granted and ended up humiliating just before she left.
Fluttershy who he didn't get to apologize to.
But that's always how it went wasn't it? That's what happened to Dojima-
Doji... ma....
Adachi suddenly feels a sense of dread come over him. He'd been meaning to check up on Nanako before the castle decided to make him an animal instead but hadn't done so yet.
Now. You should do that now.
No. No you shouldn't.
No. Go now.
He finds himself unknowingly dashing to where her room should be, but no matter how much he was dreading it, nothing prepared him for the truth.
Nanako was gone too.
The one thing he had left connected to what he had lost.
The only one from his world left.
For a long time, Adachi doesn't know what to do... until he finally just resigns to pulling out his journal.]
S-Sorry to add to the pile of "so and so's gone home" that we've had lately but...
...Nanako Dojima's gone home. Back to her big bro and... [wince] father.
[muttering under his breath] So now it's just me...
[He's not sure how to feel about that? Shouldn't he be happy? But he's never been without at least one person (usually Nanako) from his world in this place. It's... a weird realization.
For anyone that comes by Nanako's (old) room, they'll find Adachi still staring at the door]
