It's done.

Results were...oh heck with it, I don't use this word often enough...results were impressive.

[Normally that would be all. However Jim wouldn't be Jim if he wasn't spaming the journal network in some way.]

Hasn't it been quiet lately? Maybe the castle is waiting for those kind brave souls on the expedition to return before hitting us with the next disaster? That would be sooo typical of this place wouldn't it?

Anyway I hope you all don't mind indulging me in a quick survey ...what do you people do for entertainment in between these events?

I go about things as per usual and I'm glad for the chance at semi-normalcy? [ He has to wonder if anyone actually looks forward to these events. ]

When I'm not at the clinic, I'm at the Lux having a few drinks, but that's about as much entertainment as I get around here. [ There's the occasional few hours spent singing karaoke, but he won't mention that. ]

The Lux huh? You know I've been here nearly six months and I don't think I've once had a drink there.

Excellent. There were no obvious issues? Seizures, odd behavior, things like that?

Nothing obvious, although I'm still keeping an eye on the subjects in case of any delayed reactions.

It was actually nice to have total and utter obedience for a change. No mess, no fuss, no having to fish around for leverage to hold against a person. Just the little darlings doing what I say when I say it.

You might want to keep them close. I can't be sure how soon I'll be able to make another batch nor can I guarantee how big it will be.

He was just the right type of pawn in the right place for my little game. Not even worth a second thought really.

Because he's going to continue being a pawn. In fact, he may be the most important pawn of all.

How exactly?

I mean he makes an ok hostage. He’s a nice little prize at the end of a carnival game but that's about it really.

He's the Mayor. He is, more or less, in charge of City Royale.

That makes him useful.

Ohhh I get it.

If we control the Mayor via the Willhunters, we'll practically have the run of the place.

Essentially it becomes our playground.

And he's just the start.

No doubt.

Since we know the willhunters work, the possibilitys are endless.

Who did you have in mind for a playmate after the Mayor?

The City Council, for starters.

Makes sense...ensures the shift in the balance of power is as smooth as possible.

Do let me know when I can be of service again...I'm beginning to like the shape this story is taking.

Don't worry, I'll have need of you soon... but you'll be going into overtime.

Think about what we just did, and imagine doing it for weeks on end.

Good hunters usually do. [He should know, he's employed enough of them.]

I like puzzles. Anything that can keep the mind from going stale in a dull, dull world.

Very few people do.

I tire easily with anything of a repetitive nature Katniss, and this place quickly gets as repetitive as anything.

The more you see of something out of the ordinary, the less...special it becomes.

Doesn't that mean you're just begging the castle to do something interesting to you?

The castle, the world, people.

Take your pick really.

You keep how you're going, someone will surprise you.

[Possibly how he didn't want, either.]

Doubtful but I'd welcome it with open arms sweetheart.

Untill then I'll just have to settle for my own distractions.
