Scroll Thirty Nine
[Spike had busied his mostly quiet days as best he could, waiting for when his dear friends would return from their trip and he could bug them some more. Today he's attempted more training with his little wooden sword. by 'training' this means he's tried to stab a punching bag in the gym and failed more or less consistently.
After his ego has been bruised enough, he opens his journal]
Man, there had to be an easier way to learn how to use a sword. One that isn't all about pain or getting your butt kicked by an inanimate object.
[Though his moral objection to hurting anything probably doesn't help in this matter]
[Catelyn]
So hey, is there anything you'd like to do today? Arya told me to keep you cheered up.

[Hrm. Maybe he does need a few pointers. If not, then maybe a coach. He hasn't watched over Nier's sword training for years for nothing, after all.]
Would you be opposed to me observing your training session, then?

...Uh. I mean...
Yeah, you can watch.

Very well.
[And so he shall arrive at the gym shortly. Floating is quite the convenient method of travel.]

Hi there, Grimmy.

[He slightly tilts, as a sort of...nod.]

Now then. How are you going about your training?

[He keeps thinking about the whole...dragon thing.]

[He floats to the ground, pages touching the floor, and clears his non-existent throat. He doesn't even reach a foot, himself.]
I fail to see what height has to do with your combat capability.

Your pacifistic nature may be a part of why you find combat difficult.

[Troublesome for combat, indeed.]
