Galadriel, if you are free, I would very much enjoy sitting down for some tea with you. I feel like we've been missing out on some proper conversation time again, but then I know you must have been distracted with one of your new residents ~ Do let me know when you have some time.

[And with that taken care of, Ashura did something he had not done in awhile - he went out to the gardens, found a nice spot beneath a tree with Agni and Sybil playing a little ways off, and across his lap would be something like looked a bit like a cross between a lute and a sitar. Expertly he tuned the strings on it, plucking a few to test their tune.

Assured of its readiness, he began to pluck away at a slow, but sweet song. It was a love ballad from his home world, though he did not attempt to sing the song that went with it. That had never been one of his talents. 

And since he had left the journal open so he could hear Galadriel's reply when it came, that meant that even if no one was near him, some people might be getting a serenade.]

Very. I admit, I got a bit side-tracked this past week or so with Felix being a rooster. When are you free?

Oh, I have no pressing engagements at the moment. Though I would hate to interrupt such beautiful playing.

Haha, you flatter me, Galadriel. Why not come out and join me? It is a lovely day, after all, so why not enjoy tea outside too?

Ashura

Not at all; I simply have an appreciation for fine music. Shall I bring the refreshments myself?

Galadriel

If you would be so kind.

Should I expect your husband to join us as well?

Ashura

Would you wish it? I can make some attempt to drag him from the library.

Galadriel

_{[He laughed.]}

If he cares to, but I do not wish to cause him strife if he is occupied.

Ashura

Mayhaps he will join us another time. I believe I have troubled him enough as of late.

Galadriel

Kept him busy, have you? Well, that is fine, I can no doubt meet him some other time.

I shall be out beneath the trees then whenever you wish to join me.

Ashura

[Are you implying something with that first part, Ashura?]

I will be there shortly.

[And soon enough, there will be a tall Elven woman approaching you, Ashura.]

He smiles when he sees here, pausing in his song to rise and greet her with a light hug and a courtly kiss to the cheek.]</sub>

I feel as if I have not laid proper eyes on you in far to long.

[The embrace, the smile, and the peck on the cheek are all returned.] I feel the same. We must make an effort not to let so much time pass between meetings.

[Mufasa is strolling outside when he hears the music, and after a moment, he easily adjusts his path to move toward it. He soon sees Ashura under the tree, but opts not to bother him, although he does make sure he's within eyesight when he lays down next to some bushes, taking a deep breath of the air as he listens to the serenade.]

....OH... MY.... GOD /HUGS IT SO HARD/

<sub>[Ashura may not have been in battle as much as he once was, but most people knew when they were being watched by large carnivores. Considering Ashura rode one, he knew it well. He continued to play, but he looked up, meeting the lion's eyes and is rather... fascinated. He is such a beautiful creature.

He finishes the song with a flourish, glad his old skills have not rusted to much and nods his head at him.]</sub>

You may come closer, you know. I do not bite.

_{[His mouth quirked at that, very aware of who had the real biting power here.]}

[A pleasant sigh escapes Mufasa once the music ends, and his ear flicks lightly when Ashura speaks to him.

With an amused smile in turn, he rolls his shoulders before getting up, strolling closer.

Sitting down a few feet away:]

You are quite talented.

Thank you. It was one of my preferred lessons when I was a boy. I am glad the skills have not left me.

_{[Quietly, he begins tuning the strings, though his attention is more on Mufasa.]}

I have not seen you at the Castle before. Are you a new resident?

I am. [He dips his head.] I am Mufasa. A pleasure to make your acquaintance.

/rolls all over you

_{[Ashura nodded his head in turn, ears glittering from the jewels he was wearing.]}

Ashura-ou, though Ashura does just fine. It is a pleasure to meet you Mufasa.

If you do not mind me asking, what race are you?

[Oh, that's the first he's gotten that question. Everyone just seemed to conveniently know what he was.]

I do not mind. I am a lion.

May I ask the same of you, then? [Because he's noticed while he smells kind of like a human, there's a distinct difference.]

_{[There are no lions in Ashura's world, so the lack of knowledge is only natural.]}

A lion. I see. You are the first I have met of your kind then. As for me, I am Shuranian, though most liken me to an 'elf' for my ears. And no, I do not expect you to know either term.

_{[The last is said with a bit of a laugh at the end.]}

I have had many of my own firsts since arriving here. [Like literally everything was a first.]

_{[He sort of wants to reach out and touch that pretty red fur though sir. But he resists. That would be quite rude, after all.]}

Have you been settling in well then, Mufasa? I know Paradisa is quite a bit to take in at once.

[That would be rude, but not if you asked! Mufasa is quite accommodating.]

As well as one can. I've a feeling the experience has been a little different for me than most others.

_{[The former king is still to polite to ask, even if he himself quite enjoys people playing with his hair.]}

Haha, I suppose it must be, all things considered.

_{[He looks over as Agni and Sybil come back from a romp a ways off, the tiny Pokemon (a Flareon and an Espeon) cocking their heads and mewing at Mufasa, sniffing at his big paws.]}

Ah, and now you meet what more or less pass for my partner and I's children - Agni -

_{[He nodded to the red and yellow Flareon.]}.
