Welcome to the 14th Annual Hunger Games
[It's the middle of the day. Maybe you're just walking out of your door to go meet someone. Maybe you heard a suspicious noise outside your door. In any case, you look out your door.
And it's there.
Peeta is nonchalantly going around, leaving a lawn gnome in front of every door. No big deal. He seems pretty wrapped up in his work, dark circles under his eyes and his hair messy. But he'll talk to you. And he'll respond to any journal inquiries about the gnomes.
GNOMES]
[ooc: Yes. GNOMES. If Peeta knows your character, feel free to say the gnome even looks like them! Or not, your choice. Peeta will be leaving a lawn gnome in front of everyone's doors.]

Because trailing after strangers without bothering to actually talk to them is perfectly normal.
Really.]

In person
Peeta, what the hell is this thing?
[She doesn't trust it's face. It's painted and smiling too much. It reminds her of the Capital's finest. So she glowers at it.]

It's a lawn gnome. I looked them up in the library. I just thought everyone would like one.

Ah, thank you for the gift Peeta, but, if I might ask, what is it supposed to be?

[And he promptly falls backwards, looking quite alarmed at the gnome in front of his door. THESE THINGS ARE CREEPY MAN. And even more so since apparently it just DROPPED ITSELF OFF.]
E...eh....

So exhausted is she, in fact, that she fails to notice the army of little figures lining the hall as she makes her way to her own door. Only the feeling of her foot hitting something solid and thud shortly thereafter gets her to look down.
And see a strange figure that sort of reminds her of Altessa the Dwarf.]
What is this?

A lawn gnome.

He picks it up, poking his helmeted head out and spotting the perp...]

... Cool.
[She gives Peeta a thumbs up. This fucker is going up in her window.]

She watches him, and then carefully edges outside. There's a strange little statue sitting on the floor.
Chell's not at all sure what it is. She's never seen a gnome in her life. But it has a nice, friendly smile on its face. So she treats it like she would her companion cube... If she still HAD a companion cube.
Picking up the statue, she runs after the young man who planted it, intending to thank him for this precious gift.]
