[Spike really isn't doing great today. After what happened with Arya, he's in a state of hurt confusion, and so he'll turn to the only creatures who he KNOWS will have an answer to this.

...Or rather they would have an answer if they weren't the Princess who was dumped on the moon for a thousand years and the unicorn with only a small array of social skills. Oh well. It's better than nothing]

Guys, I've got a problem. What do you do when somepony who thought was your friend not only says they don't want to be your friend any more, but also that they never thought you were friends in the first place?

[That done, he'll just continue to mope around the library, wondering what went wrong in his life]

[Zelos meanwhile is in a corner spot of the library, sitting very comfortably in an armchair with his feet over the legs. He seems to be absorbed in some Mark Twain book that Five recommended him and overall oblivious to the angst dragon in the library]

[That's okay, bro, because Spike will just aimlessly wander your way to put a book back, before flopping despairingly at your feet]

[That's not at all dramatic! Zelos of course hears that flop and sees the purple out of the corner of his eye. He'll glance down at him]

[Awww, Spike! You were just so perky and cheerful the other day when you were trying to swordfight. What happened?

This big old lion strolls on into the library when he picks up on Spike's scent, naturally curious about what he might be doing in here. (And where here was-- he still had quite a bit of exploring of the castle to do!)

When he sees the little dragon looking so down, he walks slowly on over, a warm smile ever-present on his face.]

[Merlin was in a corner of the library himself, reading a rather thick book on the future in general when he went to get a book off the floor next to his foot. Not finding it where he thought it should be he started to pat around the floor for it.]

[It seems to be walking by itself off to another shelf.

Or you know, it has a baby dragon under it, same difference]

He's still just mooching about, putting books back, sighing occasionally. Unaware he is PREY]

Out from behind the stack comes Nepeta, leaping into the air and tackling him to the ground.
