When we were on the expedition Once-ler told me that people forced him to go out there when he didn't want to. That's a long trip to make someone go on... and it's not fair to make someone do something when they don't want to. Especially when it ends up being as dangerous as that was...

See? He was alright. I mean, obviously almost getting attacked by those birds put a damper on his mood, but most people were a little irritable after that anyways.
