Yo. Some cute girl named Korra wants to go up to the mountains on Saturday to train, so she doesn't terrify ducks or something with her powers. So I'll be gone all day since it's a few hours ride.

If any of you wanna tag along or whatever, I won't stop you. Korra sounded excited about the snow up there, so there's that.

[Zelos meanwhile is chilling under a tree near the duckpond, since the roof seemed lame today. He's got his hands behind his head as he rests again the tree, his legs stretched out in front of him. Mostly he seems to be watching things around him, still deciding whether or not he's glad to be back. The ducks are doing their own thing in the pond, though they seem to be evading him, even going out their way to do so and if one steps near it will even hiss at him. Because hey, they still remember him as the dude the tore up the place sparring with Korra.]

Day ten and five of the fifth month. I can't remember it's name.

[His answer is immediate. Numbers are his thing man]

[ Waiting expectantly... ]

[wilder]

[...crap she expects a real answer]

September 4th.

Was that last month?

[wilder]

The beginning of this month. It's September now.

So your nameday passed while we were out there?

[wilder]

Birthday. Annnnd yep! It was during the expedition.

[persequor]

Why didn't you say?

I nearly forgot about it...and when I remembered, I didn't feel like making a big deal outta it.

[In fact it was nice...like it didn't come at all]

[persequor]

[ She bites her lip. ]

Turn around.

[wilder]

[persequor]

[wilder]

[He siiiighs and does so]

Don't put anything gross in my hair.

[persequor]

[ She leans around him to poke his cheek. Wordlessly, Arya pulls his bandanna off and divides his hair into two thick sections. She pushes one over his shoulder and starts braiding the other. ]

[wilder]

[...Arya is braiding my hair. She actually knows how to braid hair. He will sit still and try to figure out just what is going on here]

[ Then they're going to be sitting in silence for a while. She concentrates on her task with the single-mindedness she usually only applies to Needle. When she's done with one, she takes the other section and starts braiding it as well. She keeps the bandanna in her lap to use it to tie the two braids in place when she winds them partly into a bun. The leftover lengths she pushes over their respective shoulder in Northern fashion. ]

[ She leans back to admire her craft. ]

There. You've proper hair for your nameday. I mean, birth. Birthday.

[wilder]

[He waited patiently, because he's used to people doing his hair- Servants for special occasions, Colette, girls with odd fixations...it's a thing. When she's done, he reaches up to touch it carefully. ]

Hey...not bad.
