Anybody got any advice on wine? Differences between red and white, what they're supposed to go with, stuff like that. And how to open a bottle of champagne without everything spilling over.

I know some. My sister ran a club so I kind of learned a lot of it by osmosis.

I do, yeah. I'm no expert but I know a decent amount.

I don't drink very much, myself. I usually prefer wine or a good martini.

As long as you're not planning on drinking to excess I don't see any problem with it.

No stupider than some of the other things I've seen here.

Red wine is heavier and white is lighter. Generally you drink white with a lighter food, and red with a heavier food, such as meat.

As for the champagne, spilling over everything is half the fun.

Fish, salads, cheese -- that sort of thing. With dessert, it really depends on what you're having.

[HOW CUTE.]

Well, anytime's a good time to start, I suppose. People don't like sloppy drunks, though, so remember that moderation is key.

I hope you thought to filter this away from the person you're going to be drinking with.

Well, alright. No shame in curiosity.

There are likely a few books on the subject in the library, as well. 'Wine Pairing,' things like that.

[what a...persuasive argument]

Of course you aren't. Indulge my curiosity in asking what brought the question on.

Useful knowledge to have, I suppose.

[don't deprive her of her sole constant entertainment]

There'll be other instances in the future where you'd encounter alcohol, though.

[not half as interesting]

Wouldn't it be more important to maintain your composure after drinking?

You should talk to Neal Caffrey. He knows all about wines and that sort of thing.

I think he just knows a lot about wine.
