ch.2 Make Your Mark on the Dotted Line [Action]
[Backdated to early this morning]
[As the residents awaken, they find a large note nailed to the front of each of their doors, written in a stylized script, with the first word of each paragraph starting with a large, illuminated letter:]
To all those residents who are in need of employment, who seek adventure, and who are willing to sail under a pirate's flag:
Your presence is requested in the lobby of Cair Paradisa, on this morning of September the 18th. Today I am holding a recruitment for my crew, and am seeking all those of mettle and courage. All are welcome. Trials and refreshments to be held in the lobby from Dawn till Dusk.
Your Fellow Prisoner in Paradise,
Captain James Hook
For those of you who are early risers, there seems to be a certain pirate captain bustling about the lobby. At his direction, the castle ghosts are rearranging some of the tables and laying out a spread of food. Hook sits himself behind a large wooden table with several large papers in front of him.
On these papers, the rules of recruitment are stated:
All those here undersigned agree to follow their captain, one James Hook, and obey his commands. To each man here undersigned, a percentage of all profits of this venture will be doled out in measure of his position.
Positions available:
OFICERS
First mate:
Second Mate:
Third Mate (Boatswain):
Quartermaster:
MEN BEFORE THE MAST
[ooc: feel free to sign up just to troll Hook, but I am also looking for people to help me with a certain venture I'm concocting. see

Alas, I shall not be sailing with this crew, but embarking on a business venture of a more landlocked nature. I have plans to build an establishment in the town proper, and I cannot accomplish such a feat alone.

Unless that business venture is some sort of pirate-themed brothel, I'm not interested.

Look no further for a worthy candidate, captain! You've got a ruthless gamblignant here, right before your very eyes!
[Bonus points if she's in character, right?]

Welcome, Welcome. And is there a particular position you wish to sign for, miss...?

Serket, captain! Vriska Serket, at your service! And I will have nothing short of First Mate, my good sir! [Puffs out chest, ye!] Check my credentials, I have them!

I plan to fashion some semblance of a crew here, and, with their aid [read as "by their labors"] I hope to erect a most profitable establishment in the town proper.

Arrgh, sorry did not mean to do that...my tablet pc is being an ass.

I cannot fault your enterprising spirit, Captain, though are you sure it's wise to be claiming to be pirate to the general populace?

I suspect there are those with far more collorful histories than my own who roam these halls. It would be teribly bad form to pretend to be other than I am.

Will you lead us to the edge of the world, Captain? To the Far East or to the New World?

Ah, Lady Lucrezia, so glad you could grace this humble gathering with your presence.
Mayhap one day I shall. I can think of no better company for such a voyage. [if the opportunity arises, he kisses her hand]
I was disappointed to hear that I missed this last expedition by so short a margin, but such is life.
But, alas, I have not the means for such a voyage, nor, I think, would the denizens of this castle be so quick to take to lands afar after so swiftly returning home. This is a precursor to an adventure into capitalism. I hope that with the help of a crew, I may build a business establishment in the town.

I plan to erect an edifice of piratical delights the likes of which this world has never seen. It is my purpose to hire a crew to aid me in this endeavor.

But let's face it you're:
1) jobless
2) never in a good mood anymore
3) could really use something to get your mind off of everything in this dumb castle
4) hungry
and most importantly
5) bored shitless again (THE WORST OF ALL)
And well it... had been fun during that one pirate adventure a year ago. Oh sure, you were on the Navy back then but your made up Navy Admiral life that the castle gave you was better than your life back home. Plus, you're already a cop turned criminal; may as well go for navy turned pirate too.
It couldn't hurt at least.
So have a mousy looking man showing up at the lobby]

"Willing to sail?"
You do realize there isn't a sea for miles, right? Unless you're planning on commandeering the Season's Room on off days.
How can I say no to new CR?
