You wouldn't happen to know where they're keeping that bird you and the others brought back, would you?

This has been on my mind quite a bit recently- and before I ask it, no I still haven't completely forgiven you for taking away my bunsen burner, even if I was drunk.
But anyways...have you ever tried espresso before? Given your adoration of coffee, I was curious.

[There is actually a long pause here. He honestly doesn't know what to say, after hearing that she had come back.]
...
Never mind.
[Hey, he went over a hundred years without her, he can go a few days more without having to awkwardly talk to her about her return.]

[After writing in those filters, Tesla leans back in his chair with an audible creak, ready to talk to the populace of the castle once again.]
You know...hasn't it been a bit too quiet lately? I'm not talking about the expedition that just came back, I'm talking about the castle in general. Shouldn't one of those crazy castle-wide losses or world changes be happening by now? I mean, it's been too quiet. Too normal...well, if you ignore all the individual losses everyone has from time to time.
Or am I just missing something? Because it feels an awful lot like the quiet before the storm, in my opinion...

Nikola
I already know. [A sigh.] And she's not the only one, I've had numerous people asking about my intentions towards it, insuring I'm not about to experiment upon it or other things. [And he sounds a little tired at that idea. Really you'd think in a magical castle full of so many people they'd be more open to such a thing.]
[IT'S NOT JUST HER BOYFRIEND, OKAY?]
James
[A little "hmmm". He actually sounds a bit more serious about this.]
There is a reason why the Sanctuary was kept from prying eyes back home...basically, James, I'm not against the idea. But you have to make sure you have a good way of protecting it. I'm sure there are plenty of people here who would use the knowledge to benefit themselves and harm the rest of the castle, and frankly, if that ever happens, I'm sure that Helen would make you regret it for more than a lifetime.
Nikola
And would you look at that? They're having a serious conversation! And his tone turns more serious as well.]
Oh I know precisely what you mean. Starting on a smaller scale, in this aspect at least, to do that. Insure that I can do it here, and that there are others here who would carry it on if anything ever happened to myself. And I am certain she would, as well as others here. [Galadriel, Mal, the Doctor.]
James
[[He nods, even though James can't see.]
That could work. If you integrate it slowly, perhaps there is a better chance of it being accepted. Kind of like a vaccine. And you should definitely name successors just in case the castle has a temper tantrm and sends one of us home.
Nikola
[He likes living too much.]
That is my intent, yes. Hopefully with any luck Helen will stick around long enough to aide me in that endeavor. It is her project after all.
