5. I'm not together but I'm getting there

It is difficult to stay sad with all of the bustle and activity going around the castle. It has also felt like quite a long time since I was actually in one place long enough to see the seasons change... it makes me feel more stable than I have since my arrival here. I also seem to be finding small treats I have not been wishing for in my pockets every so often.

[There's a pause before he adds:]

I questioned whether or not I was going to attend the ball, but I think it would do me good. It would feel like regaining a little piece of the life I left behind.

The parties here are always pretty fun! Maybe you'll meet some new friends there.

That is what I am hoping for. After my sister disappeared, I did not feel like being social for a while, but now I feel like I am ready for it.

Yeah, I can understand that. When my friends go home I don't feel all that great either.

[a pause -- oops, where are her manners!?]

I'm Ino, by the way!

My sister was only here for a short time, but we have always been very close, so that made it all the more difficult.

I've never had siblings, but ... my best friend's been through here a few times, so ... I definitely get it. But maybe she'll be back sometime?

Nice to meet you, Simon! If you're going to the ball then I'm sure we'll meet in person, too.

I certainly hope so. I miss her terribly.

I do plan on staying the whole night, so I do hope we meet.

Small treats? ... How very odd! I can't say I've ever heard of that happening, before. What sort of treats are they, if you don't mind my asking?

Candies. I think I have figured out the source, though- one of the fairies just flew up to me and put a flower in my hair.

I have never seen any before. This place is truly full of wonder.

I've been here long enough to see them about on a couple of.occasions, but that doesn't make them any less marvellous.
