[the day of the party has arrived!

right around dinnertime, fairies will try to round up every single character and gesture, lead, or pull them towards the courtyard. there, the miniature castle has finally been completed! there are fairy lights and beautiful singing all around you, and it looks like there's some kind of a party going on in the castle, but...

...but it's still so tiny. how could you possibly get in there? it would be hard just to get your hand through the front door!

but the fairies will persist, and as soon as a character steps into the fairy ring...

they find themselves in the ballroom.

All right. [ ...Did she just hear herself say yes? ]

[Yes you did. He smiles]

All right!

[He'll offer a hand to lead her to the ball room]

[persequor]

[ Arya takes it. Luckily, the mask hides her look of WHAT DID I JUST GET MYSELF INTO ]

[YOU GOT YOURSELF INTO DANCING. But he'll lead her there, a bit nervously since man he is not exactly the most skilled dancer ever. But when he gets there, he'll try to move into position for proper dancing - though it's awkward since Arya is tiny]

Um, ready?

[persequor]

[ Not really. Not with the memory of every failed dance practice reverberating in her head. ] Yes.

[save_the_souls]

Okay.

[he'll start off dancing. He's not clumsy, but it's clear he doesn't dance a lot. This is so much different than acrobatics. But he's keeping it simple from what Lenalee taught him years ago]

[persequor]

[ Simple is great. Simple Arya can do. The style is different from what she was taught, but she can follow. Stiffly, but follow she does. I must look ridiculous. She has never been a graceful dancer, nor will she ever be; she's just glad she's not stepped on him. ]

[save_the_souls]

[very good. He keeps up with the box step, trying very hard not to make a show of looking at his feet. He really needs to practice more, he always says he will and never does. Sword fighting is simply more interesting]

[persequor]

[ /brofist

It doesn't take Arya long to start trying to lead him--one of many reasons she had been declared hopeless at dancing years ago. ]

Er-

[He notices this!]

Arya? Did you want to lead...?

[persequor]

[ ...oops. Stopping! ]

No.

[ Never mind the too fast reply or the tips of her ears turning red. She was so not trying to lead. ]

[save_the_souls]

[He smiles when he notices the ears turning red]

It's all right, I'll try to be stronger leader.

[He'll resume leader, trying to be a bit more sure of himself and...leading as she was dslkfjsd ]

[persequor]

[ Arya flushes a little darker. Yet she lets him push and pull her around the floor. ]

You dance well, ser.

[save_the_souls]

Thank you...[he doubts it]

My friend taught me, a few years ago at one of these events.

[persequor]

Are there many in a year?

[save_the_souls]

Not too many...one or two a year, possibly?

[persequor]

[ The look of distaste goes unseen, but the unhappy sound comes through. ]

[save_the_souls]

[he chuckles a little]

Trust me, I know the feeling.

[persequor]

They are always annoying. I don't understand why such insistence on having so many.

[save_the_souls]

Well...some people like them. I always find them a bit...stuffy? If I must admit.

[persequor]

[ Dryly: ] Just a bit?

[save_the_souls]

...Okay, I only came for the food.

[persequor]

[ Arya has to duck her head as she tries to stifle her laugh. ]

[save_the_souls]

Ah- it's okay...you can laugh.

[persequor]

Next time mayhaps you can stop by the pie shop. I'll sneak you a couple. And you don't have to ask me to dance.

[ She might throw a chair at him if he asks for another dance. ]
