[the day of the party has arrived!

right around dinnertime, fairies will try to round up every single character and gesture, lead, or pull them towards the courtyard. there, the miniature castle has finally been completed! there are fairy lights and beautiful singing all around you, and it looks like there's some kind of a party going on in the castle, but...

...but it's still so tiny. how could you possibly get in there? it would be hard just to get your hand through the front door!

but the fairies will persist, and as soon as a character steps into the fairy ring...

they find themselves in the ballroom.

THE GARDEN

[perhaps the only truly safe place is the garden outside. it's a beautiful, open space filled with flowers and strung-up lights. a few groups of fairies are chatting here and there, and every once in a while you'll see a couple on a romantic little walk... but here you can rest, knowing you will be safe from both mischievous magic and having to dance with people.]

[ One (1) Akito and one (1) Agito are currently walking together in the garden, holding each other's hand and sticking as close together as they can. ]

[ For a minute Peter could almost swear this kid is one of three younger brothers he had during a short stint as a massive family unit during the family reunion fiasco.

Considering there are two of these guys though, and he's pretty sure there was only one of the other kid he's super the height and hair is just a coincidence.

Either way he's in full super hero gear as he watches the twins (?) stroll through the gardens. ]

Nice night for a walk.

[ Wanting a little fresh air and some quiet, Lucy made her way out into the garden, immediately feeling a little relieved by the peace and quiet and sheer beauty around her. She'll just make her way over to a bench and have a seat to rest and enjoy the quiet, her thoughts wandering. FEel free to bother. ]

[ Hi, Lucy. Have a girl dressed as a boy sitting beside you. Arya pulls her full-face mask off, messing up her braids in the process. ]

[Never let it be said that Max doesn't know how to dress up. Her hair is piled on top of her head in a mass of curls, and she's doing her best not to fidget in her dress. She hasn't gotten this dressed up since she went to Logan's cousin's wedding.

So, needless to say, it's been a while.

But her super soldier training and her ability to keep a cover safe her from standing out too much like she doesn't belong. She's wandering the garden, taking a look at the different flowers and smiling a bit at the fairies. The whole thing is like something out of a fairy tale, so she can't help but indulge in the idea, just a little.]

[Rapunzel's a bit tipsy on the fairy wine by the time she ventures out to the garden, and it's with a silly-sounding giggle that she approaches Max. Despite the intoxicants in her, she keeps her voice relatively quiet as she approaches... The atmosphere is so delicate in her perception that she feels the garden may disappear if she's too loud.]

I really like your dress.

Do you think they'll stay through autumn?

[ Arya, at least, is comfortable in her clothes. She'd refused to wear a dress, instead opting for her brother's clothes. Her mask covers her entire face. Behind her, Nymeria sniffs at the ground and plants. ]

[Allen is never the most social at these parties so he's out in the gardens, enjoying the scenery. It's not that he is unwilling to have company, he just isn't that fond of huge crowds...especially when a lot of them are demons. Weird huh? But at least he's dressed to the nines with a mask on. ]

It's still hard to believe they made us shrink...

Lilah usually felt right at home at these sort of gatherings, but she was still recovering from her trip back home (both physically and emotionally) and tonight it was taking a bigger toll on her than she'd like.

So she slipped out to the garden with a flute of champagne in hand to get a break from everything else for a bit.

[Hank looks bored. He'd been expected something interesting to happen by now, but nothing.

He idly wonders if he should just make his own fun...]

[Violet wore a purple ball gown and her mask as she kept to the outside. It was nicer out and she preferred the cool air to the groups of people outside.

She's keeping to herself, but walking around, though her mask is most often not on her face.]

[The garden is the new roof, man. Charming can't help but mope a little bit. There's a beautiful masquerade, and his wife is gone.

He leans over, smelling a flower. He looks quite handsome in his princely attire.]

[Steve only heard the part where he doesn't have to dance with anyone. He'll be taking a nice little walk if you need him.]

[This one looks sort of like a peasant...

and where the hell did he get that soccer ball!?]

Hmm... Would it be a good idea to play now...?

[Carol is in the garden, walking around the beautiful setting by herself and looking around her. She's not sure she's seen anything more beautiful in quite a while and she's quite content to just stay out here and enjoy it. She's not wearing anything particularly fancy, dresses aren't really her thing after all but she admires the people who are dressed beautifully.

She beds down every now and again to smell a group of flowers.]

[York is patrolling the gardens outside, eyes open for trouble. He's wearing a suit and a Venetian-style mask, and if one observes carefully they may be able to notice some weapons concealed in his outfit. He's here strictly on security, folks. (No, he's not really wearing Kamina glasses.)]

[Safe? Maybe, if you're not already totally smashed on fairy wine. Molotov just needs some air, although she's occasionally tripping over her own dress as she makes her way out into the garden. Eventually she just takes a seat on a small stone bench, then lights a cigarette. Or tries. Whatever.]

[Pepper has acquired a glass of wine and is sipping it very carefully. She moves through the garden with gentle ease, her dress being held enough to keep the train from dragging through the grass. It's really quite peaceful and she wonders if it will last.]

[ So there is just a plague doctor hanging out here, near enough the ballroom that he can look in, but otherwise minding his own business and seeming content to lurk in the garden and make people uncomfortable. He's holding that wine, but it's otherwise untouched (removing the mask so often sure would be a pain.) ]

[Normally, Damon is all about the mingling. Mostly because it's easy to find someone, compel them, and get a little snack out of big gatherings like this. But more or less everything's put a damper on his fun from the way too common use of vervain around here to Katherine making her return. Honestly, he'd rather skip the whole thing, but that wasn't exactly an option thanks to those obnoxious little fairies. So he's there, tux and mask. As content as he ever will be by sticking to the gardens where there's fewer people and he's far more likely to be left alone.]

THE GARDEN

[Having finally escaped from the ballroom, Alan takes a moment to relax. The cool air is refreshing, and he's more comfortable away from the crowds. Now he can try to figure out exactly what's going on and where he is.]

( The garden is the place to be to find Johanna. Since there is no need to grab anyone's attention or favor, she went for the exact opposite of what she would normlly wear, a frilly black dress. It made her look almost cute. For a mask she wore a black blind fold that she could see out of, but people couldn't see her eyes.

She's just wondering the garden beds for now, looking to see what might be hidden within.)

[ Once Duke was actually inside the place, he'd moved away from all the noise and dancing. Particularly the dancing - all sorts of people everywhere is not something Duke really wants to be around when using his magic to help him find out what is about him just gives him a headache with all the magic this place gives off.

Although recognizing him might be a bit hard without all of his red and black. Clow had designed something swan-like that showed off all of his white hair quite a bit, and he has a white and blue bird-like mask.

And manages to look somewhat uncomfortable even with most of his face covered. ]

[Zomg garden. Rue snuck away from the party for a little while to take a look for herself. The flowers are BEAUTIFUL! She's walking around looking at every single one, trying to figure out what they are.]
