[the day of the party has arrived!

right around dinnertime, fairies will try to round up every single character and gesture, lead, or pull them towards the courtyard. there, the miniature castle has finally been completed! there are fairy lights and beautiful singing all around you, and it looks like there's some kind of a party going on in the castle, but...

...but it's still so tiny. how could you possibly get in there? it would be hard just to get your hand through the front door!

but the fairies will persist, and as soon as a character steps into the fairy ring...

they find themselves in the ballroom.

"And here I thought you said you weren't here to entertain me." He smiled. "Of course, if it's giving you performance anxiety, I'll pretend to not be watching."

"Maybe I'm trying to entertain myself, since your stimulating conversation isn't cutting it," She quipped back with a well practiced condescending sort of smile.

"Oh, I'm going to need an ice pack to walk that one off," Damon replied with a wry smile.

[succubitch]

"Oh good, it means you'll be leaving me alone," She slung back. Okay, so maybe she wasn't doing a good job hiding her distaste for him, but it couldn't be helped.

He chuckled and moved closer. "Not a chance. I'm enjoying you way too much."

[succubitch]

"Lucky me," She drawled with a roll of her eyes.

[untilmydarknessgoes]

"Don't worry," Damon said as he took another drink from his glass. "I won't tell anyone how much you're enjoying it yourself."

[succubitch]

"No one would believe you anyways. Not anyone who knows you, anyways." She took another drink from her own glass now.

"Ouch," he made a mock grimace, putting a hand over his heart. "That hurt."

[succubitch]

"Oh you poor thing, I forgot how sensitive you can be," She added, smirking a little.

[untilmydarknessgoes]

"You don't seem too concerned with my feelings though," Damon replied.

[succubitch]

"Probably because I'm not," She said with a simple shrug.

[untilmydarknessgoes]

"You are cold, aren't you? So, what did I do to you? Kill your puppy?"

[succubitch]

"Don't feel special, I've been told repeatedly I'm just a bitch." There's not a lot of point rehashing everything he did to her, not when he can't remember it.

"Aw now, I'm sure that's not true," Damon replied with extremely dry sarcasm.

[succubitch]

"Oh no, it definitely is." She said in a matter of fact sort of way. She never took bitch as an insult though.

"You seem pretty okay with it." Damon was aware he was pointing out the obvious. He was doing it on purpose just to see her reaction.

[succubitch]

"Am I supposed to be offended?" She offered back easily enough. She knew very well that she done more than earned the title.

[untilmydarknessgoes]

"I'd revel in it," Damon shrugged. He does when people call him a dick or a bastard or any variation thereof himself. So, it's not like he could see some great fault in her for it.

[succubitch]

"I usually do." And she did. She didn't really see the title as an insult so much as a badge of honor.

[untilmydarknessgoes]

"Well then, we have a lot in common, don't we?" At this point, Damon did have the sense that he had done something to her the last time he was here. So acting generally naive and trying to be chummy? Definitely put-on and meant to screw with her.

It does. Screw with her, that is. She takes another long drink. "So you've mentioned to me before."

"So, doesn't that mean you should be less of a bitch to me and I'll be less of a dick to you?" It only seems logical, right?

[succubitch]

"I wasn't aware it was supposed to work that way." She certainly wasn't planning on being less of one.

"A little solidarity never hurt anyone."
