[the day of the party has arrived!

right around dinnertime, fairies will try to round up every single character and gesture, lead, or pull them towards the courtyard. there, the miniature castle has finally been completed! there are fairy lights and beautiful singing all around you, and it looks like there's some kind of a party going on in the castle, but...

...but it's still so tiny. how could you possibly get in there? it would be hard just to get your hand through the front door!

but the fairies will persist, and as soon as a character steps into the fairy ring...

they find themselves in the ballroom.

[She smirks.] If there's a prize, I might be convinced to share it.

A promise requires trust, I wasn't sure you were there with me.

[She's... not sure on her side, but she nods.]

Guess so.

[He can sense that hesitation from her response.]

Not willing to take that chance with me?

[msattentionspan]

You just came back. [She shrugs, moving to lean forward a bit, resting her elbows to her knees.]

I don't trust very many people to begin with.

Can't blame you there. [He shrugs. It's much better to rely on yourself and so, he couldn't really argue against it.]

[She glances back to him, something trying to get figured out in her own head before she actually says anything about it.]

I'm not on vervain. [She figures that might extend a bit to her level of trust for him, even if it's on par with the fact that she knows she can take him out if she needs to.]

[Why build a bridge made out of trust when you can just jump the river straight to the other side? Damon's surprised.]

We like living on the edge then, huh?

I didn't need it before. [She leans back on the bench again, exhaling.] Figured, why change my diet if I didn't have to.

Still don't think you have to?

You get some warning from Wes? [She knows that it's a subject change, but she's trying to figure something out.]

Wes and all his little friends.

[At least he assumes they're all Team Anti-Damon. They did come out en masse.]

[There's a small smirk.]

Wes - he's from my world. Had a pretty solid opinion of what I was last I saw him, but in this place he doesn't remember me. Kinda better that way.

He was my Watcher, probably doing that for Lana or whatever. [Because she's not dumb, she knows that he's got that itch to fix something in his life, even if he doesn't remember that she's a part of that.]

Watchers are supposed to teach and train, instill whatever values... morals they're supposed to onto their Slayers.

I would be a Slayer. The step above everyone else. Faster, stronger - [She glances to him with a slight edge to her smile, the pride and ego shining through a bit.] hotter - and just better.

I'm supposed to hunt and kill vampires, so giving you the free pass doesn't sit well with them. [Not that they all know that she gives him the free pass.]

I figure, day comes where I need to rethink my vervain is the day I revoke the pass.

[That explains Lana at least.]

Trust me. Vervain? Tastes like shit. You're not missing anything.

You never asked. [She shrugs.] When you were here before... it wasn't ever a blood thing. I guess there's a bit more trust there than I figured.

I'll do what I can to keep it then. Or earn it back. Whatever. [He gives a slight wave of his hand.]

[msattentionspan]

[She gives him a nod, mostly lifting her chin up.]

Alright, that's enough serious shit for me. [She'll stretch her arms above her head, arching her back a bit before glancing around.]

What's the deal with that fairy wine?

Not nearly potent enough if you ask me.

[msattentionspan]

Then we just need to drink more of it. [She grins and stands up, tugging at the hem of her jacket before glancing around to try and snag a glass or three... or four.]

[Damon's kind of gal.]

[Sing-song as he takes at least one of those glasses for himself:] Uh-oh, I might be falling hopelessly in love with you.

Keep it in your pants, Salvatore. [She teases, smirking at him from over the edge of her glass.]
