First Council
[The journal picks up quiet musings from someone as he talks, along with the sound of books being stacked on top of one another.]
You would think they would know better, it is not so difficult to put things back where they belong when they stand right next to the shelf. Though it would be more understandable if they would purchase something.
[Grumbley half-elf is grumbley. And a beat.] Unless someone changed the open sign to closed again. [Who does that, really?
Though after that the sound of a bell comes through and he's off to take care of whatever customer of his happens to have come in.
Later in the day however he can be found going from his book store out to various other places in the city, stopping for food or other small things one does after work.]

no subject
Things happen, and I apologize for not stepping aside. [And he's quick to hide the ears, because it's weird in town with them okay?] Something troubling you?
no subject
Are you new here? I don't think I've ever seen you before.
no subject
No,I have always lived here. Though the city is large, it's not unheard of for one to not know everyone that lives here. Where are you from?

B)
I am no lord, and I would kindly ask you where you are.

There should be a small book nearby. [Oh, wait. It sounded like he was in a bookstore. That's probably not the most helpful.] A journal, of sorts.

no subject
My name is Elrond, yes, though I know of no place called Rivendell nor am I a lord, sir.
[At least he's getting used to the journal.]

[Well there's this guy here, sitting in one of the armchairs with a pile of books balanced on the arms, reading away and has probably been doing so for awhile now. Cause you know, reading in the library sure gets a lot of interruptions. He'll glance up when he speaks, but on the whole doesn't pay a whole lot of attention and goes right back to the book ]

Are you going to purchase those or are you only enjoying them while here?
