[Katherine can be found this evening sitting on the steps leading up to the castle. She's contemplating a walk, but for now she's keeping an eye on who is coming and going. Rather than pick a random topic, she opts to tug at older memories.]
Is anyone familiar with football? [She's still dressing as though she fits in the 19th century, her skirt folded slightly and tucked beneath her thigh so that she doesn't have people stepping on it.]
I believe now that the weather is getting cooler, this sport would be easier to play outside. I admit to only seeing it played a few times, but I would be interested to see how it's changed since I first saw it played.
It seemed such a fun sport, though I am sure I did not play by the rules.
Lilah Morgan & Tess Mercer ]
Today, as I was venturing through the city I came across a building labeled as the Pierce Academy. I inquired about it and was told that I should speak with either of you. I can only assume this is something from my previous stay here, though I am unsure what I was doing with such a building.

[ ... does that sound a little bristly? Just a tad. Not that she's not aware that this is still Katherine, but she doesn't like assumptions. She knows that this Katherine isn't Katherine her friend, and she isn't so inclined to trust this new Katherine.
After all, you would have to be a fool to implicitly trust a vampire, simply because you used to be friends once.]

Well, I certainly didn't start a school while I was running around trying to figure out a microwave, when I first arrived here. [She makes it sound as though she's not sure what Tess is trying to point her to.]
Of course, maybe there's another resident with the last name Pierce. It's quite common, I'm told.
I was just curious and was given your names.

Well, as I recall, you had the basics down.

Steal the ball and run away? [She smiles at him, briefly, and moves her hand to shift her dress (despite it not needing it) and ensure she's out of his way. Their last conversation makes her try to give the impression that she's trying to give him his "space" since he seemed very angry with her.]

The giggling is purely optional.

Did you continue to play? [She allows the question to have that bit of hope beneath the tone, as if she's hopeful he'll answer. She doesn't play easily as the scorned lover, but it's something she's come to expect from Damon. It doesn't hurt any less though.]

[He leaves it at that and just looks at her. It's better than nothing, right?]

Did you simply lose interest?

What did you mean about it changing since you learned it?
no subject
It was just the beginnings of a sport when I learned of it. I'm sure it's changed since eighteen-sixty four.
no subject
Are you from then, or just ... [really old...]
no subject
When I arrived here I'd just been discussing the sport with friends. [Well, not really true - but close enough for this conversation.] The year was eighteen sixty-four.
