[Katherine can be found this evening sitting on the steps leading up to the castle. She's contemplating a walk, but for now she's keeping an eye on who is coming and going. Rather than pick a random topic, she opts to tug at older memories.]

Is anyone familiar with football? [She's still dressing as though she fits in the 19th century, her skirt folded slightly and tucked beneath her thigh so that she doesn't have people stepping on it.]

I believe now that the weather is getting cooler, this sport would be easier to play outside. I admit to only seeing it played a few times, but I would be interested to see how it's changed since I first saw it played.

It seemed such a fun sport, though I am sure I did not play by the rules.

Today, as I was venturing through the city I came across a building labeled as the Pierce Academy. I inquired about it and was told that I should speak with either of you. I can only assume this is something from my previous stay here, though I am unsure what I was doing with such a building.

If that's really what you want, Damon. [Her head tips to the side a bit. She wants to say something, to push a bit more, but she's tired of his behavior.]

It's difficult for me to argue against something I've yet to do. You're not the Damon I knew, not the one that I snuck out in the evenings with to teach things to. Not the one I shared those moments with.

[She gives him an evaluative once-over.]

Time has changed you and I know all too well what time can do to a person.

[She's being so annoyingly mature and okay with all of this. It's honestly frustrating Damon to no end. He wants a rise out of her and not the hurt feelings kind that she's managed for a little while before skipping all the way down to the seventh stage. Though if you were to ask him? He probably couldn't tell you what he wants.]

[She frowns.]

There is nothing easy about this, Damon. Do you think I like knowing that my actions are going to push you this far from me? That the choices I made are going to create such hatred in you?

This is far from easy for me.

[She simply turns her head away.]

You claim to have had years to figure me out. I suggest you look back upon that time and consider your own emotions before you think to guess mine.

[He just throws up his hands, turning, and resuming his walk down the stairs. Damon's not getting a rise and instead, she's just managing to get under his skin. This backfired massively, in other words.]
