[Thanks to Larry not knowing how to operate a stepladder correctly, Phoenix is currently laid up in bed, blue cast on his right leg, and an endless stream of whining ever at the ready.
He's also incredibly bored. Painting and drawing got old long ago, and he can't seem to stay focused on anything he tries to read. Never mind that he could probably pretty easily get out of bed and actually do something despite his (not very severely) broken leg...
He whines, over-dramatic, into the journal.]
Don't trust Larry Butz, everybody... he'll just break your bones and make you miserable...
...on a related note, come and sign my cast.
[With a bit of apprehension, he adds a filter.]
Um... Trucy? ...mind keeping your uh... old man... company for a little while?
[Good lord but he feels ridiculous even asking this of a teenager he's only just recently met.]

I'd love for none of that to be true, but there you go.
dictated
[ She hesitates. ]
Do you have company right now?
[ She's very much starting to get exasperated from being treated like a fragile thing by Wheatley, and she's still a bit more energetic from being helped to fall asleep with Jade's piano playing... ]
dictated
Well, no... I'm here by myself, right now.
dictated
... [ There's a notable pause. She's very awkward about this next part: ]
You should... have someone around. What bone did you break?
Where are you?...
Re: dictated
[And he's equally awkward in his response]
Ah... I'm in Miles's room...
dictated
[ She gently clears her throat. ]
What number is that?
So... did you two... as well?
[ She gently bends the journal page, and it wrinkles a bit. ]
dictated
[Eyeing that wrinkle...]
...did we what?
dictated
You two seemed to like each other during the- that... when we were a family.
[ she explains, haltingly, the sound of the journal being picked up and some slow steps, and then a door opening. ]
dictated; also incredibly filtered to GLaDOS
...yeah, you could say that. We still... "like each other."
Dictated ; filtered to Phoenix
dictated & filtered
Er... y...es...?
dictated & filtered
Are you alright? You sound sick. [ The awkwardness of such a question really flew over her head. ]

There are different things? How do humans define the levels? On having mated or not yet?
dictated & filtered
Well... exclusively being with only one person usually constitutes "dating." Depending on the humans... "mating" can happen at any time in the process. Some humans... er... "mate"... before they're even dating, while others might wait until they're married.
dictated & filtered
So, the term "mates" can mean that the humans don't exclusively mate with each other.
And that means... I'm dating that moron. [ It sounds a bit awkward, doesn't it? She starts glancing at the door numbers... ]
dictated & filtered
...and if "that moron" is "Wheatley," then I thought you were dating officially for a while now!
dictated & filtered
[ She shrugs, again, unseen. ]
Hm... honestly, I don't know what we are. We were married, and I still have my ring, but I don't know if he has his. And we live together, now. Does that mean we're married?
dictated & filtered
dictated & filtered
Does being married mean that he won't ever leave?
dictated & filtered
It... means that he shouldn't ever leave. Sometimes people ditch marriages though--and sometimes they don't work out and both parties mutually agree to call it quits. But still, being married makes it... less likely for him to leave?
dictated & filtered
Then, I hope he thinks the same.
[ But she quickly changes the topic. ] I'm here.
dictated/action?
[Should she make her way down the hall and into Edgeworth's overly grand room, she'll find Phoenix sitting in the bed, pouting.]
