[Thanks to Larry not knowing how to operate a stepladder correctly, Phoenix is currently laid up in bed, blue cast on his right leg, and an endless stream of whining ever at the ready.
He's also incredibly bored. Painting and drawing got old long ago, and he can't seem to stay focused on anything he tries to read. Never mind that he could probably pretty easily get out of bed and actually do something despite his (not very severely) broken leg...
He whines, over-dramatic, into the journal.]
Don't trust Larry Butz, everybody... he'll just break your bones and make you miserable...
...on a related note, come and sign my cast.
[With a bit of apprehension, he adds a filter.]
Um... Trucy? ...mind keeping your uh... old man... company for a little while?
[Good lord but he feels ridiculous even asking this of a teenager he's only just recently met.]

Besides, having someone as good as you, I see no reason to seek certain companionship elsewhere. You wear me out as it is.

I know I always sweep you off your feet every time I touch you.
[To punctuate this, he clumsily rolls a bit more on top of Edgeworth... an action made far less successful than he'd hoped by his broken leg. This, of course, simply causes him to laugh even harder at himself.

There is "touching," and there is "flopping upon me like a fish"... Quite a difference.

I can touch you if that's what you want. All over.
[Although this isn't uttered with any hint of seduction--more like a bland statement of fact. Now he's just messing with his man...]

[He pulls gently on a piece of Edgeworth's bangs.]
Are you really not going to have sex with me until this cast comes off?

[Yes. "Do the nasty."]

...Other than the fact that you can possibly hurt your foot during?

Your legs aren't exactly stationary...

I still don't think they'd be that in danger...

[Even as he says it, his eyes are twinkling--as Edgeworth's earlier comment, it's not meant seriously.]

[And now, in a flash, he's much more serious.]
I don't know what I'd do without you.
[That constant fear of Miles suddenly "going home" one day without warning has just reared up again.]
