Reminder to self: no more cheesecakes after 3AM, since it leads to waking up in strange castles with no clue how I got here.

Also reminder to self: find a better note journal. This one has writing in it already, even if the cover is lovely.

Titles are very, very important sometimes. "Ambassador" has gotten me out of quite a lot of trouble in the past.

Oh no, as I said, I'm the Ambassador of Xoan! I've lived there all my life. Well, with the exception of my many excursions to visit the Mistress, but... I like to think of those as vacations.

Yeah, right, that ... so what's Xoan like? I mean, how different is it from here? It's pretty different for me, I live in space.

Oh, it's very different! Hardly as stuffy as this castle is. But it's a castle and the lands surrounding it, of course, not just a castle. For one thing, we have these marvelous little cakes in Xoan. Bite-sized and smothered in chocolate! They're simply delectable!

Well, she's not mine, per se... but Mistress and I have been good friends for quite some time! She helps Xoan and we help her. Sort of a "you scratch my back, and I won't murder your people" arrangement!

Yeeeeah, from one castle to the next? Doesn't sound like that much of an inconvenience ... but the cakes sound good. You should tell Peeta, maybe he can make somethig similar.

That sounds like a pretty decent arrangement.

There are several other differences here and there, but, not every castle can have everything, can it?

Oh, we have a chef in the castle? Marvelous! I shall have to meet this "Peeta" person immediately!

Yes, she's very generous. And she's quite fun to be around!

Well, not really a chef, but there's a guy who makes cakes and stuff. Peeta. Yeah, he's pretty good.

Ah, so a baker, then? Still, a magnificent craft, making desserts. I shall have to find him straight away!

Oh, we have plenty of parties. And we have plenty of events and entertainment, back at Mistress' castle! Orgies, banquets, tiger hunts - with curtain tassels! - and I even rowed her Apprentice across the lake once! Though I have to admit, that wasn't as much fun as it sounded.

What a shame, really! You seem like you would be an excellent addition to one. I'll see about inviting you next time I attend a little soirée. That is, assuming this castle has soirées of any sort. Any will do!

Oh, of course, of course! I wouldn't dream of leaving out my Agent Cupcake! Though this is assuming that I ever meet with you.

So it doesn't throw parties. Does that mean it throws something else instead?

Oh, you will. This place isn't exactly huge. [She's so amused by all of this.]

Well, okay, it throws ... stuff. Like, there was a fairy costume party thing with lots of wine. I don't remember much.

It may not be as impressive as the Mistress' castle, but it certainly is larger than expected!

Oh, costume parties are my favorite! I do just love picking outfits to wear. It sounds like it was a wonderful party! Shame I missed it, really. So I take it that the castle throws parties, but not very often?

Yeah, and sometimes the residents throw parties, too.

Hell, I threw one for my teammate. Just some games and food and stuff, nothing elaborate. Just wanted a chance to tease him for being old.

She'd only ever had parties in tandem with her twin, and now, here alone, she had to admit to herself she wasn't looking forward to celebrating anything like that alone. He'd always been there and now he wasn't and for as much as she'd wanted that, it's certainly not like what she'd imagined.]

Yeah, uh ... I'd rather not. Better at giving them, you know?

[Sandoval doesn't know that, otherwise, he'd be perfectly happy to console her and eat ice cream. Which may be a good thing in South's case that he doesn't know.]

Then perhaps we could throw a party together! That way, you don't have to organize everything. And you could still enjoy some of the party.
