3 Lanterns; Dictated

That was the longest and worst sleep I've ever had... And I guess it wasn't just me, from what people have been writing. It gave me some things to think about. [She's kept somewhat quiet since waking up.] I kind of wish it hadn't, but I'm kind of happy, at the same time. I have a decision to make now.

But, uh... Maybe I should talk about something else. [Rather than go into her missing towels. What's that about?] How about this Halloween I keep hearing about? Does anyone want me to make them a costume for that?

Are you guys okay?

I'm really sorry you had to go through all that. If you did. I'm confused.

Nope, sorry. I'm stubborn through and through. Especially about this.

[He circles one of the unless-es that's appearing on his journal page] I have to wait for someone to care enough to change things. Someone who isn't me.

That doesn't make sense, though. You care, or you wouldn't be stubborn about it -- You wouldn't be choosing to be alone for so long, when some of us don't have a choice!

[He realises he's probably trodden into uncharted waters here. Personal-Rapunsel-waters]

...Some of us chose to live that life because it's what we deserve. Besides, it's already set in stone. It's going to happen regardless.

[A pause] You don't have a choice?

That's not fair, though.

...I'm sorry. You shouldn't be trapped somewhere you don't want to be. Is there any way at all for you to get out?

...I don't have to like it, though.
