[Pepper hasn't really used her journal to its fullest benefit, despite being told that it can hold many of the answers she's been looking for. She still finds herself relying too heavily on the way she's always done things. Today, she realizes that she needs to break out of that box -- just enough to try and make a difference.]

How many of you are working on things that could help the residents build their own independence away from the castle? I know there are a few projects that have been mentioned here -- a garden, a school, resident run businesses -- but given the experiences we've all had and the recent theft in the castle, I was curious if anyone was planning on anything else.

I think my favorite is the apple pie. [Since she's allergic to Strawberries.]

What do you do for Sam?

Usually, I take the orders. Serve the food. I help clean too.

I don't bake.

I'm sure Sam appreciates what you do for him. It seems there aren't very many people in the castle that are looking to work while they are here.

They're too stupid to get away from the castle.

I'm sure they don't see it that way, but do you think it's worth it to try and get them to move out?

Yes.

Do you have a list of people you'd want to move out sooner? [Pepper might help her organize something.]

[persequor]

My lady mother. We're already leaving.

That's a very good start. Have you found a place in the city already?

[persequor]

Mother did. We're waiting on some things to move everything there.

[quits]

Once you've moved out there, who else would you want to move away from the castle?

[persequor]

I don't know. [ Everyone else seems to be living outside the castle too. ]

That's okay, I'm sure that sort of thing will come to you eventually.

Where are you and your mother planning on moving in the city? [She's curious how close it will be to Potts the Tower.]

A place Mother found. It belongs to another resident. She's not using the bottom floor and she left it to us.

That's lucky for you, then. I know that it can be a bit of a challenge to find something on your own.

I guess.

Well I've been working on a way to get people home. In the down time I toy with robotics. Was there something in specific you needed?

Uhhh well, it's just me really. I don't know anyone else who would be familiar with the science or technology.

No, it's kind of a specialized field.

its not as independent of the castle yet as i want it to be but you are welcome to use it! :)

whats it do?
uhh its a building
it has power and plumbing and plenty of space for living and activities
granted its a little sparse on decorations right now but it has lots of potential!

That does sound like it has a lot of potential. Is it independent of the castle?

more or less
most of the materials arent castle made
but i dont have any reliable source of supplies yet apart from it
and its connected to the castle by transportalizer but thats just for convenience really

Have you spoken with anyone in the city about providing supplies?

ive meant to but im not very familiar with them
plus im not totally sure where their supplies come from either?
i mean if they just come up with them the normal way then thats ok
but theres still the possibility that the town is a castle construct as well
i dont know if anyones looked into that but i havent really had a chance to

I'm pretty sure most of the supplies in the city are from the city. There are factories and I've been talking to a lot of the owners. I'd be happy to introduce you to some of them, if you think it would help.
