[There are three things that have started today out on a rather weird note. First, she overslept. Second, she was awoken by a cold nose and a tongue. Third, that cold nose and tongue did not belong to Tony. It could've been at least somewhat normal if the random dog that she had waking her up was Tony on one of those rumored animal changes. Instead, it was just a dog. A dog that wanted to be fed, apparently. Which she did. Of course, this isn't her dog. Which brings her to this.]

Did anyone misplace a corgi? He seems friendly, but I was wondering if it might be a resident - unless someone can identify him?

[With those matters taken care of, Pepper can be found in the city at the local bakery sitting at a table by herself enjoying a cup of coffee and a blueberry muffin. Feel free to bump into her here or there or on they way somewhere!!]

[The soft sounds of instrumental Christmas songs can be heard through the journal, maybe even a hint of peppermint and warm vanilla. Pepper isn't exactly a good cook, but she knows how to prepare for an event. The thing is that she had hoped for something small and personal - something she hasn't had in quite a while. There were always benefits and charity dinners around the holiday, so this is a nice change of pace.

Even with the change of pace, she still wants to do something nice for others.]

I know not everyone here has plans for the holiday or maybe you are trying to avoid all the puddles, but anyone is welcome to come to the tower in the city. [She puts a small map here on the page.] Most of the construction is completed and the lobby is decorated thanks in part to my very special decorating crew.

If you just want someplace to stop and rest for a bit, or even if you want to spend time with someone new -- I'll be here all evening and you're more than welcome to come.

What sort of things make a costume not a nurse costume, but a doctor costume? I don't want to be a nurse, I want to be a doctor but I think they all look the same. [She's using the journal, and she'll probably wander outside of the room at some point. Tony might be watching out for her, but she's EIGHT, she can make her own breakfast. Or something.]

[She's been studying the card for a while now, before she remembers that she is supposed to check the journal, but she doesn't see anyone talking about it.]

Did anyone else get a rather peculiar card today? Tony didn't have one, but I did by my bedside table. I thought if this was a castle thing someone might have mentioned it.

It's just a simple card that says: Halloween is coming! "When I grow-up..." has turned into you all grown-up. Look how big and tall you are! Did you grow-up into who you wanted to be? The time to look back and see is coming. Are you ready for what could you could be?

This is just too cryptic for me to ignore it.

[Pepper hasn't really used her journal to its fullest benefit, despite being told that it can hold many of the answers she's been looking for. She still finds herself relying too heavily on the way she's always done things. Today, she realizes that she needs to break out of that box -- just enough to try and make a difference.]

How many of you are working on things that could help the residents build their own independence away from the castle? I know there are a few projects that have been mentioned here -- a garden, a school, resident run businesses -- but given the experiences we've all had and the recent theft in the castle, I was curious if anyone was planning on anything else.

Is there any theory as to who the castle weeds out of those crazy events? I'm not complaining about a five day cruise and shopping experiences, but it seems like being in the situation everyone else ended up in wasn't what normally happens.

I was under the impression that the times the castle sends people away it's just a location, but now we have to be concerned about our own memories? [Pepper is not a fan of any sort of brainwashing.]

Everyone's okay now, right? There aren't any side-effects that have come from that sort of memory tampering, are there?

[Needless to say, Pepper did not have a very good first day in Paradisa. She spent most of her day in the elevator convinced she'd wake up at some point, then found out her friend was killed, and then spent the rest of the night drinking. Once again proving to herself that she cannot keep up with Tony Stark when it comes to alcohol.

Now she is miserable.]

So -- this much is clear. I'm not dreaming. I'm from before the time that Tony's here from and a bunch of stuff happened. [Her fingers press to her temple... ow.]

Wishes, the journal, the castle -- all magic, which is real. There are places that you end up sometimes, because the castle brings everyone there. People die, but then come back because the castle... fixes it. I've lost something and it's not just the memory of being here before -- which is also the same case for Tony, even though neither of us remember.

[She has a glass of ice water, which you can hear clink when she raises it to press to her temple.]

Is there anything else I should know? [Other than the whole Loki thing, which she is not even going to say his name, because she wants him to hurt for what he did.]

Oh, and for those I didn't weird out the other day in the elevator while I was still thinking this is all a dream - I'm Pepper Potts.

I also could really use some aspirin. [But she can handle that one.]

[There's a redhead in the elevator. Barefoot and standing there wondering when ...]

Phil...? [She turns to look at Phil, but he's not there and the floors have definitely been reduced and renumbered. Plus, the elevator has changed and there's a book on the floor.]

Well, that's not right. [She goes to press the button for the lobby. The doors open and - oh. Nope.]

Clearly, something has gone wrong. Tony? [Where is the call box?] Okay, it's funny, but really what's going on? Is this payback for the elevator thing, because you know that wasn't really my fault. [Seriously. Where is the penthouse button on this thing and how did he manage to build an entire floor that looks like a castle without her remembering it?]
