Cryptic messages aside, did anyone actually become what they wanted to be when they grew up?

We start out thinking that we know exactly what we want. Then, we don't. School forces us to decide on our future when we still don't know who we are or what we want from life, and before you know it, you're getting your degree in something you more than likely will never use for the rest of your life.

I suppose I'm just wondering if anyone is actually doing something they thought they would be doing.

Actually yes it is. Because although I became what I wanted to be when I grew up, I also became something I hadn't expected.

I wanted to be an artist when I was a kid, but I became a lawyer instead.

i always wanted to be an archaeologist
now im a psychopomp!
granted i havent really grown up yet but its sure not what i thought id be doing when i was younger
