Something tells me what we call magic differs greatly between us all, and I admit I'm curious as to what you would call it as such. So what do you call magic? The unexplainable, a power to control and do with as you wish, what?

It's a curious question, isn't it? Magic can be said to be so many things by so many different people. To a human with no knowledge of what true magic might be, it might be said that it is no more than the depraved imaginings of dreamers and madmen. And yet to others it might be something as matter of fact as the air you breathe.

What do you think it is, I wonder.

Or the stuff of legends that only the learned know, or care about. [And now he sounds curious.] Something that is my very being, and yet a dark thing. Such a thing that should only be used in the direst circumstances lest it be let out of control, a raging animal almost that may not survive it's use.

A terrible gift. [Will is silent for a brief moment, before he continues softly.] And yet it is a part of what I am. My master told me that it was a gift that I would often wish to be rid of it. Yet I can never truly wish this. For I have the gift and so I must serve it. This is my duty and why I was born and the law.
