So didn't this place used to have, like, ten more floors? What ever happened to those?
[Alex is currently in the dining room, with her feet kicked up on the table, a fashion magazine open in her lap, and a bag of marshmallows in front of her. Feel free to chastise her for getting sneaker germs everywhere - or for eating her weight in sugar this close to midnight.]
I leave you guys alone for, like, three months and you totally rearrange the place. Typical.
[A short pause, and then a thoughtful hum.]
Huh, I guess this week makes a year since I got dropped off here for the first time. Kind of feels like a lot longer with that whole Paris crap. [Her voice raises, like she's trying to be overheard.] Anytime you want to toss me back to New York, that'd be great.
