[ The following is dictated into the journal. ]

If there are any [ NOT FILLIES... BE ALL-INCLUSIVE.... ] children who are going to be collecting candy today, I'll be giving some out at the library. I've got quite a selection of different candies. I was sure to account for the most common allergens, and I'm offering several more healthy alternatives as well.

So feel free to drop by, either for the candy or to help me give it out, if you're so inclined.



[ And, as promised, anypony who wanders into the library will find, after the rather sizable display of age-appropriate children's and young adult books stations at every entrance, there's a large display of candies, and a certain unicorn who's.... done a rather nice job of looking like a rugged unicorn archeologist instead, complete with fake wings and her horn hidden under the hat.

She will calmly and levelly hand out one candy (or healthy alternative) to each child - though she does have one rather insidious plot in mind as well. She'll offer two pieces of candy to any child who offers to check out one of the books on display and promises to read it. :3c ]

[Mufasa does come by, but not for the candy! Actually, he's got a children's book in his mouth-- bound side in his mouth, in an attempt not to get the pages too wet-- which he neatly deposits in the returned books bin.

Lightly, to Twilight:]

I wouldn't suppose you would be the one who was inquiring about how to dye one's mane?

[ Books and candy?

Duke is there. Even if he can't read almost all the books he finds, he will still show up at the library.

And his cape is on crooked, so he may have a bruise or two, but he's still excited about books and candy.

Where is the person offering candy though? He stops and tilts his head to listen and figure out where. ]

[and hanging out in the library is one pony princess. It's still kind of discomfiting, but she's pretty determined not to ruin the harmless holiday.

As such, she's already helpfully appropriating her portion of the candy tax from Twilight's stores. Nom nom nom.

[Woot, free candy! Aradia shows up later on, dressed more for Day of the Dead than for Halloween - she's done up some fairly elaborate skull makeup on herself, and has on a white lacy dress and a red flower in her updone hair. I will have a picture as soon as I finish it sklfj]

(As if it's a real surprise that this one is helping around the library. Were you expecting any less, Twilight? You shouldn't. Because this is Cadence and she's perfectly fine with helping Twilight feed the little kids with candy.
