[You can't hear what happened before the journal opened, obviously, but it's easy enough to guess - someone, in surprise, has dropped their journal.

Or, well, maybe not surprise. There's coughing, which sounds rather nasty, and, well, wet. There's a thump that may or may not be someone meeting the floor in a less than graceful or planned manner, and the coughing gets louder, and... is that spit on the journal page? With flecks of blood? Ew, super-gross.

It stops after what seems like far, far too long, replaced by someone (probably unsurprisingly) gasping for breath before the recording cuts off]

Quite. It is hard enough arriving in Paradisa without being sick as well. I hope the transition does not drag it out overmuch.

Well, during the winter perhaps not. I prefer being indoors during then anyways. The spring and summers are quite lovely.

Spring is nice. Summer can get a bit hot, though, unless there's shade.

Haha, that has never been a problem for me, then my Talent is Fire, so I enjoy the hotter months when they come.

Interesting. I know of mages skilled at working with fire, but I do not believe I've heard of any of them having any particular affinity for summer.

Well, only because I enjoy the hot and because my previous world never experience cold enough to draw snow from the skies.

Ah, I see. I've seen snow a few times, but in the north apparently it piles in drifts, like sand on a beach.
