[The handwriting is plain, a little oldfashioned, but neat. Also brand new to anyone who didn't see his replies to his first 'entry']

I apologize for the mess I made on the journals the other day - I assure you, it was not intentional. Had I know of these books' rather unique properties, I'd have endeavored to be a little more careful. But thank you to everyone who expressed concern.

I suppose I ought to introduce myself properly - I am Thamuris, formerly of Troia, although given how different things are here, I have no idea if that means anything to anyone.

[And he's awake and at least partially upright for anyone who wants to run into him in the clinic. Not up to getting out of bed, but he's peering around as best he can because, well, everything here is so different]

It's nice to meet you, too. And I've been told about some of what happens here - but some parts of it are nicer than where I was before.

[Chell had awakened this morning as a human. And the first thing she sees upon opening the journal is this entry. She scratches her head for a minute, wondering... And then brooches the question. Her handwriting is a childish scrawl]

Hello, Thamuris. Tell me. The other day, by chance was there a cat that sat and kept you company for quite a long time? I assure you, I ask for a reason.

I think there was, though my memory is a little fuzzy. Why?

[silentrunning]

[She grins to herself. YES. That was him. Her next writing is hurried.]

Because that cat was me. I was on a loss... And I sort of wanted to introduce myself properly now that I can.

[There's kind of a pause while he takes that all in, because, well. This is not the sort of thing he's used to happening, even if he /has/ been told about this place]

Oh! I hope I didn't offend you, then.

[silentrunning]

[Chell writes back, all the while smiling to herself.]

No no no. You didn't offend me in the least. I'm just glad to see you are some better. I worried about you. You seemed very feverish and as if you did not feel well in the least. Where are you now? I could come and say hello, so you can meet me properly. The Castle had me on a loss, you see?

I was rather feverish, but it's mostly come down. Enough that I can remember things properly, at least. I'm in the clinic for the time being, if you wanted to come by.

[Oh hi Thamuris. A few minutes later, there's the sound of someone walking toward the clinic door, and a tall, thin girl in odd boots wandering your way. And she's smiling. As she approaches your bed, she raises a hand and waves.]

[He's sitting up in bed, and while he still doesn't exactly look healthy, the fever and drug haze is gone from his eyes. He returns her wave with one of his own, and a small, shy smile. He's not used to having visitors, much less ones who were cats a few days ago]

Clinic

[ Duke may not notice there's someone new until he's been in the clinic for a little while. He's looking somewhat pink, which may be peeling on closer inspection, so his shifting about in the medical cabinet might be explained when he steps back out with a green bottle in one hand. ]

.... Need something? [ There's a new set of sounds here, so he's fairly sure he isn't just talking to himself. ]

Ah, no.

[His voice is a little hoarse, but he sounds clear-headed, at least, which is one up for this place.

He watches the other man looking - no, feeling? around for something in the cabinets]

...Do you need help with anything?

[He is probably the worse help in the world right now, but it seems like he should offer anyway]

... Aid for sunburn. Found one that used before...

[ Although he may detour and get water for.. whoever it is. Raspy means water. ]

Although, was worse than expected. Not much aid anymore.

Oh - I don't think I can help with that, unless everything is labelled.

[The celebrants at the Gardens would have known something, surely, but he had not much been in the mindset to try and learn their methods at the time]

[ And here's a cup of water, and hopefully the vaguely right direction so the person in the bed can take it. ]

[He takes the cup carefully, because it's becoming rather clear that if the other man can see at all, it's definitely not well. Not that he's going to bring it up, because that would be horribly impolite]

[He drinks most of it, and sets it down on his small bedside table]

[ He doesn't know why you're in here, but usually being in the clinic and in a bed means you might need it. ]

I... I think I should be alright.

[Though he's careful as he slips out from under the bedcovers and goes to stand, one hand still gripping the bed frame. There's a brief moment of dizziness, but it passes, and he lets go of the bed to walk towards the cabinet the other man had been going through with a little more confidence.]

It should be in here, yes?

[He can't even believe what he's seeing right now. And out of anybody the castle could have chosen to pull here, the sickly diviner was one of the last he'd ever thought would show up. He even tries to hope for a few moments that it's somebody else, but there is no mistaking the word 'Troia' as a place that exists only his world.]

Thamuris? Is that really you?

[And that voice startles him - one he wasn't expecting to hear in this place, certainly. He speaks aloud without even thinking, startled and still a little raspy]

[A pause while he runs a hand over his face and tries to quiet the string of obscenities he wants to direct at the castle]

Oh. I'd wondered why I hadn't seen you recently.
