[It's been a rough month for South, between the cat incident, an intense conversation with Carolina, and then everyone around her going insane and Washington threatening to kill her, slowly and painfully, because of the virus.]

[Suffice it to say, she sounds a bit subdued when she cracks the journal open.]

So, I think I've had enough of this place for one month. I'm going to head out to one of the outposts, haven't decided which, just ... just need to get away for a while.

Catch me if you need me today, I'll be heading out in a couple hours. Otherwise, use the journal. No guarantees I'll respond.

I know this is probably not ... I mean, I'm not expecting much, but, you think those Spartans could let me borrow a mongoose? Just to take me to an outpost.

Oi now, there's no need for that. Just making a point because I'm sure someone will bitch about it if you get hypothermia out there, and I can't be bothered listening to the whining.

Of course I need more alcohol. But, I also need to be able to drive to the outpost, so most of the alcohol is going t have to wait until I get there.

And hey, my team is finally starting to give a shit about me, so I don't want to mess that up. [She's hunching in on herself at the convession and shooting him a glance warning not to push it.]

Yeah, I got an actual fire pit and we're making fucking s'mores.

Okay, well ... right up until everyone went insane and ... I got shot at. Again.

Ah. Nothing kills a mood like being shot at.

I've been to the pits of Hell, South. Seen the entirety of human history in all it's most gruesome times. You want me to tell you? Really?

[South sets her beer down and lays her arms ont he table, resting her cheek on them and heaving a sigh.]

Okay, fine, whatever. You win the 'my life sucks more' aware. Happy?

[She obliges, because that's why they're here.] So don't try to burn the place down or anything while I'm gone, tempting as I'm sure it is.

No setting anything on fire, I promise.

Good. Because as much as I hate this place, I like being able to use the microwave and shit like that. [Things she's not expecting the luxury of at the outpost. She finishes up her beer and pushes off the stool.]

So don't miss me too much. I hate clingy.

I can't promise the safety of the microwave. People do tend to blow it up on a weekly basis.

[He'll flash her a smirk] Won't even notice you're gone.
