[i_got_this]

[It's been a rough month for South, between the cat incident, an intense conversation with Carolina, and then everyone around her going insane and Washington threatening to kill her, slowly and painfully, because of the virus.]

[Suffice it to say, she sounds a bit subdued when she cracks the journal open.]

So, I think I've had enough of this place for one month. I'm going to head out to one of the outposts, haven't decided which, just ... just need to get away for a while.

Catch me if you need me today, I'll be heading out in a couple hours. Otherwise, use the journal. No guarantees I'll respond.

I know this is probably not ... I mean, I'm not expecting much, but, you think those Spartans could let me borrow a mongoose? Just to take me to an outpost.

[ Lucrezia gives her the most amused look. Preeetty sure they got it on but that would be crass to say. ]

Did he frighten you? He must have been terribly out of sorts when he saw you.

[South laughs loudly, throwing her head back.]

I'm a fucking space marine. Nothing scares me. [Except the possibilty her brother might show up, or being seen as weak, or other such deep secrets] We were both drunk at the time, so even if was out of sorts I probably wouldn't have noticed.

[ She just grins at her, not disagreeing. ]

Ah, then he did not make the best impression?

[South preens a little.]

I think I frightened him, actually.

We were both really drunk so, who knows?

[ Lucrezia chuckles. ]

As uncanny as your likeness might be, it was perhaps the differences that were most startling.

Heh, probably. Man, I kind of want her to show up now so I can see what I look like as a noblewoman.

Is that what you are? [Poking at her dress.]

[ She makes a face at the poking. ]

[South looks genuinely surprised at that]

Holy shit, those guys can have kids? I thoght they had to swear off sex ...

Plainly they can.

[ Which reminds her. She gestures at herself. ]

Yeah, I can see that now.

< small>[She shifts her bag so she can offer her hand to Lucrezia.] Agent South Dakota.

Yeah, that works.

South then. Would it please you to dine with us? One day, when you find yourself otherwise unoccupied.

Yeah, sure. I'll let you know when I get back?

Back from where?

Gunna spend a few days at the Western Outpost. Castle's getting a little too insane, I could use some peace and quiet. That's why I got these,

[She motions to her luggage. She needs to sort through her myriad of issues that the Castle and Carolina have been stirring up lately.]

[ She nods, offering that duffle bag back to her. ]

I look forward to your return.

[South can't help the odd expression of perplexity come over her face as she accepts the duffel. Friends, people outright admitting they enjoyed her company, just wasn't something she was used to.]

Uh ... yeah, same. I should only be about two, three days or something.

[heloise]

[ Lucrezia has her own motives, not that it means she likes South's company any less. She smiles, excited. ]

In three days then. I will call on you.

[South smiles as she piles the bags together and slings them over her shoulder.]

I'll look froward to it.

[Nope. No idea there are any other motivations in play.]

[ She nods and takes her leave, sparing one glance over her shoulder to make sure her eyes aren't fooling her! ]
