Dictated [Open for Action and kisses to the cheek]
[It hadn't taken Conan long to take note of the sudden infestation of nutcrackers. It took him only slightly longer to collect a small set of tools and decide on a target. For the sake of the scientific method he collects several different nutcrackers from different locations. Some from busy areas and some that had been completely isolated as a control. He lays them out in a quiet corner of the lobby and props up the journal nearby so that he can keep an ear on the activity in the castle as he works. Then, carefully and methodically, he begins to take the nutcrackers apart.]
This is interesting, isn't it? Is this the first time there have been nutcrackers in the castle like this?

Action - Placeholder!
Food is her task of the day, but she's on high alert. Last year someone booby-trapped the kitchen for their "game." But on her way through the lobby, she hears Conan's voice and... well.]
What the hell are you doing?
Action
Action forever
I mean besides tempting fate.
Action
That's superstition. What I'm doing is investigation.
Action
No, that's an expression. And a rather accurate one, given what you're currently doing.
Investigating what? The location of the castle's magic?
Re: Action
[He gestures at the group of nutcrackers set off to one side.]
Those are from empty rooms and isolated areas. The ones I'm working on now were located in the lobby and other high traffic areas. I'm trying to discover if there is any difference.
Action
Fine, its influence then.
[Dairine gives the nutcrackers a suspicious glare.] One group is more opportunistic than the other?
Action
Action
Well, so far they look the same to me.

And you're going to be close to the nutcrackers the entire time. Doesn't that seem... a bit risky?
Re: Action
[So go away.]
JAWS THEME
Uh oh.]
Oh really? [Dairine moves around the couch to sit next to him, juuuust a little too close for comfort, smiling mischievously.]

[Dairine starts toying with his jacket and bowtie instead (assuming he lets her).]
You haven't figured it out yet? Some detective you are.
no subject
How is even a detective supposed to figure out why girls act weird?

[And with that she grabs onto his coat so he can't run away, leans forward, and kisses his cheek.]

O-Oi! What was that for!
[And let go of his jacket already.]

What was what...?

Oh.
Crud.
DID SHE JUST--]
Done
What do you think that was, Einstein?!
Re: Done
Either that was you being affected by whatever this ridiculous kissing effect is or you suddenly decided that kissing me on the cheek was a good idea. I am leaning towards the first option.
[Yes, scrubbing his cheek of with his sleeve. He would never understand why so many girls felt the need to kiss him there.]
no subject
Good guess, Sherlock-kun.
[Oh so much dry sarcasm. Now that she's far away, Dairine takes the opportunity to scrub at her lips with the back of her hand. Ick, ick, ick.]
