[She glances up at Wash from her space on the couch, and then hastily grabs her back from it's close perch on the coffee table and shoves it a little farther away.]

I can sit in the lobby if I want to. And, guess I'll just have to make do with darts. [Too bad she left her pistol in her other pants.]

[South can't help but shiver. She'd had the chance to come to terms with it a bit during her vacation at the outpost, but the fresh reminder made her think about things she thought she was done thinking about.]

Nah, just that the castle changes them all into foam and rubber. Not quite as effective.

Pretty lame, yeah. But with how such things work with the castle, maybe you'd just receive even more of those, rather than actual bullets.

[Church finally makes his way to the lobby. He spent a few minutes cussing about the fuckstick that left the humping deer decoration by his door. And yes, he is in armor (not that he has any choice).]

[She's dressed for the weather, and hefts a backpack over her shoulder and motions to the doors.]

Can't say the town is much better as far as decor goes but at least no nutcrackers.

[Sandoval has, of course, noticed the nutcrackers everywhere. But he hasn't thought much about them, because he has an urge to kiss everyone... well, practically always! It's not like they've made much of a difference.

So as he's busy looking for something to eat in the kitchen, nudging aside a few nutcrackers congregated together, he happens to notice South out of the corner of his eye. He turns his head, and with a grin, moves over to her before speaking up.]

I was wondering when I'd find a cupcake! Although I didn't expect to find this one...

[Oh hey, it's this guy! South smiles as she pulls a beer from the fridge.]

Looks like it's your lucky day!

Very lucky! [Sandoval looks rather curiously at the can for a moment, but shrugs it off so that he may dust off the counter to hop up onto it and sit. If he can do that in Mistress' kitchen, why can't he here?] Aren't you worried? The kitchen is the likeliest place for cute cupcakes like you to be gobbled up.

[But his curiosity does get the better of him, so he motions to the can in her hands.] What is that you have?

And who's to say I wouldn't enjoy that?

[South snaps her beer open and takes a drink as she moves to lean on the counter next to him.]

Oh come on, it's beer.

Please don't tell me they don't have beer on your world, that's just too horrible to think about.
